And next year, we'll be able to buy the Wicked boxed set...BOTH versions! OMG! I can't imagine why they WOULDN'T do it...I'm sure there's a market for it.

I think if they also drop in the vocals of George Hearn this could be a possibility. he definately is a name

Well, I think I was one of the first people to purchase the Brooke in "Wonderful Town" CD, and due to this thread I will bump up my old review. Check it out, honestly, the re-recording was quite good.

These ideas are all really good. And I know the powers that be read this board, so this will give them some really good ideas to use when they do it. The box set could include outtakes, bloopers, songs that were cut in SF, etc. LIVE versions of the songs with audience reaction. Think of it.

And the box set could be gorgeous. They could do two packages one in pink sparkly cloth and one in black cloth with green highlights. Most of us would buy 3! Two to keep mint-in-package for eBay in about 20 years and one to listen to and to send the post cards included. They could have one disc with every replacement Elphaba's Defying Gravity, even unusual ones like from the Japanese production.

Is somebody writing these ideas down???

etoile, you can't preorder something that hasn't even been announced yet.

Amazon has to LIST something for preorder based on the product announcement being made first.

Elpheba TRADING CARDS!!! How about that? But the big question is...with gum, or without? I KNOW! Most of the packets could have pink gum, but if you get one that has a GREEN stick, you win a prize. Or maybe, the green gum is the prize in and of itself.

Wait wait, Namo how about if... how about if like they did like a really cool reality series based solely on what it's like to be a replacement for Wicked and Wicked only, since there's never been another Broadway show nor has their ever been a star of the magnitude of the old school Run DMC track suit resurrecting Manzel the great! They could like, follow Eden Espinosa around and see what all of them do in real life, when they're not like actually at the Gershwin. And like how hard it is to sing and fly and how Cheno-ish JLT really is...and they could like do the search for a new Galinda on camera and have people call in and vote for their favorite. that would B 2 KEWL!

I hope they do re-record it just becuase those of us who cant see Wicked live would like to stay updated on the voices behind the characters. Its probably unlikely that they will for a long time becuase the first one was just released a year ago but I certainly hope they do sometime.
I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart. -Scrubs

Dreamcatcher knows where I'm coming from. As do you Al. They don't want us to be forced to buy bootlegs do they? We want to be honest. Maybe they could just iTune it like that u2 special digital box set. That would be great.

I agree with that, I love the original cast of Wicked but I don't want to only have heard that a year later when they have long ago moved on to a new cast.

need i point out that very few non musical theater whores buy cast recordings in the first place and therefore i have a feeling that at least half as many people who bought the first one (which as i recall was sold out for a good bit of time or some such) will buy a second one
