Hello? Brooke Shields? How many more examples do you need? Plus, why should something not be done because it has never been done before? You yourself have said that Wicked is a very unique musical and so why shouldn't they do things a little different? Why, the very story is about being different. Throw off your shackles of traditionalism. Any REAL fan of WCKD would be signing the petition.

She is not even in the show any more, okay? And a lot of us have been holding our tongues but can say it now with all due respect to Idina, she is a goddess and all, but Shosha is better. And everybody forgot Kristin like six weeks ago.

I bet anyone that there will be a Glinda barbie doll complete with her own wardrobe and bubble in the near future and every pre-teen girl will be clutching one while running around in red track suits. I swear I saw no less then 20 little girls running around as little Glindas and Elphabas on Halloween.

Well they did it when Vanessa Williams took over the role of Aurora / Spider Woman from Chita Rivera in KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN in the 90's. Though the recording featuring C. Rivera was not labelled as 'Original BROADWAY Cast Recording' but simply Original Cast Recording, but you'll get my point...

But I don't see why they would re-record WICKED just because both leads have now changed.

Musical Theater Whore (noun): a) please see Shira467. b) any female who attends musicals with any of her 3 gay husbands.

If we have to rerecord so many musicals, such as Wicked, just make the whole thing more of a joke -- let's really do a Britney and X-Tina version. Then it could be sublime. I bet the little Kridina-obsessed kids would love that version.

And seriously? I really want a Glinda Barbie that comes with her own flying bubbles and sings "No One Mourns The People Who Actually Bought This Rididculous Musical Merchandising Tie-in"
