Addy - I was thinking the same thing about Toy Story 3

Taz - Garfield was robbed. I thought he was the best actor in the entire movie.

I wish "Never Let Me Go" was nominated for something. The acting in that was INCREDIBLE.

Interesting that Mila Kunis was snubbed of Supporting Actress in Black Swan. At least she was recognized by SAG.

Although I don't think he has a chance, but I would love for Geoffrey Rush to win for Supporting Actor in "King's Speech" he gave one of the best performances I have seen. Will it be Annette's year or will Natalie take the gold?

Mila was rather nondescript, I thought. I was surprised at all the attention she was getting when I finally watched it. The movie belongs to Portman and Portman alone. Everyone else is just incidental.

How much longer can the animated category last? Is there any doubt Toy Story 3 will win animated -- just like last year with Up?

How in the WORLD was Nolan not nominated for best director? The Academy really doesn't like him after this snub and Dark Knight a couple of years ago.
Hell, he should have won for Memento!

So no songs from Burlesque made it.

Taymor's The Tempest got one nod.

And "Achievement In Makeup" got a nomination for best achievement in makeup (unless it's a misprint).

I just have to say that I am so proud of the Academy for rejecting that awful anti-public school/anti-teacher's union propaganda film Waiting for Superman in the Documentary category. They could have nominated The Tourist for Best Picture and I'd still be celebrating after that.

In conclusion, Winter's Bone for every category it's been nominated in and write-in ballots for Best Director. Love that film.

Am I the only one who really doesn't get the love for The Kids Are All Right? I thought it was a nice movie, but nothing spectacular, particularly in the way of Mark Ruffalo.

Happy to see John Hawkes get in there. He was excellent.

Aww, no Diane Warren. I thought she'd get it this year (after 6 noms) when she won the GG. Even if it was for BURLESQUE. Catchy tune although the song is loaded with cliches.

I'm really excited 'The Kings Speech' got so much love.
