If you are over 18 years of age, here's an informal poll question for you...

Would you be willing to pay a nominal amount, annually, to access an Adults ONLY BWW message board? Payment would be via verifiable valid credit card.

The Adults ONLY board would be theatre, world and life experience related discussions, without regard for the young ears and eyes that are always watching and listening and interjecting into the adult threads.

It would NOT be a pornographic site, however there would be more liberal application of the "avatar" parameters.

I have asked this question verbally to over 10 BWW members and received "yes" from 100% of the respondents.

What do you say?

This is my own idea, and it is not endorsed by BWW.com, at least not yet anyway!

well, you started a topic, so im replying here. i wouldnt pay to have more adult conversations. just not worth it to me, ive got lots of places to chat on the web for free, including my own forum.

Jose'- This is my oppinion(and I am only 17)

This site is wonderful because it is FREE!

If you were to create an adult-only site why not just request a credit-card number for identification purposes and not charge any money (unless the money is needed to support the site in which case I understand completely)

I don't think it will succeed. Planet out has the same kind of thing and they don't charge. People would not pay for something like that. Well at least not a female monster.

With all the stuff said on this board, what more could be said on an adults only board ?

Even with it, we would still get X rated posts on the regular board

I won't pay anything for the board, it's a nice board and everything but why would I want to pay for an adult board, which would probably end up with x-rated pictures/photos/etc.

Two Notes:

1. Don't be swayed by the responses posted in the thread. The private responses are running totally in favor.

2. The idea is to have a 3rd message board on BWW.com, in addition to the two already in existence, that would require a 1x annual payment for participation. Anyone could still post and read for "free," and if one chooses, provided one is over 18, pay and access a 3rd board for Adults.

There is truth in the perception that the number of adults, and level of discourse, have dropped significantly over the last 18 months or so with the increasing influx of those under 18.

Again, this is my idea. It is not something that is happening, nor is it being considered by BWW.com at the present time.

omg, that's so such a discriminatory idea! what about the kids, huh? how are they supposed to get access to an adults only board so they can see the porn that will inevitably be posted there? oh, and what about the people who are looking to hook up with underaged kids? won't the adults only concept pretty much defeat the purpose? are you just, like, looking to offend and alienate folks? i, like, can't believe you'd even think about this. it's so totally obviously a jose thing...geez.

that said, a third board that charged a nominal yearly fee to offset the server space required and the maintenance which was guaranteed to be an adults only environment where nothing was out of bounds save for personal atttacks sounds quite intriguing. it'd be taking nothing away from the current set-up just adding another layer of wonder to what is already a glorious internet experience. count me in.

I have to ask about this constant rumble about adults preying on kids at BWW. Has something happened in the past to provoke these frequent comments? I know my blood runs cold every time I read them, as though I should feel guilty for even being here.

Wildcat - as far as I know, nothing has ever happened along those lines from this site. It just seems to be a common internet paranoia.
