Papa says: "i'm personally pulling for bush to re-enact the lindy england leash pic and drag osama up the aisle of the garden kicking him in the ass every few steps."
LOL! Deserter-in-Chief Bush has proved himself no more capapble of catching Osama than a puppy is capable of catching its tail!
We'll have to wait till President Kerry gets into office to see how a REAL commander-in-chief does the job.
i'm surprised at you, pal. i was sure that you'd be of the mind that osama was being held at some remote location for unveiling at the proper time. but, pal, you should really watch that kinda language as our cambodian warrior of the band aid variety purple hearts has said he doesn't want people making that case. this campaign should be about issues, not slander (or since we're typing this, libel), right?
If the president says he did not have relations with "THAT AD," I believe he did not have relations with "THAT AD," don't you?
LOL!
Meanwhile, the Republicans have set Bob Dole to insulting President Kerry's service. But here's how Bob Dole won his Purple Heart, as quoted by Josh Marhsall on TalkingPointsMemo.com
=====
"I took a grenade in hand, pulled the pin, and tossed it in the direction of the farmhouse. It wasn't a very good pitch ... In the darkness, the grenade must have struck a tree and bounced off. It exploded nearby, sending a sliver of metal into my leg--the sort of injury the Army patched up with Mercurochrome and a Purple Heart."

At least he remembered to let go of the grenade. I'm not so confident Dubya would've done as well. What a shame that would've been... Updated On: 8/23/04 at 05:28 PM
pal, have ya seen bob dole's arm, though? that was not his own grenade did that, it was german machine gun fire while he was trying to retrieve an injured radioman.
Yes, I know. Bob Dole and John Kerry were both very brave.
George Bush, on the other hand, was doing cocaine and playing hooky from the National Guard.
from today's gaggle.
Q That's okay. Some Republicans such as Bob Dole and some Republican donors such as Bob Perry have contributed and endorsed the message of these 527 Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ads --
THE PRESIDENT: Right.
Q Do you -- when you say that you want to stop all --
THE PRESIDENT: All of them.
Q Does that mean --
THE PRESIDENT: That means that ad, every other ad.
Q Would you encourage Republicans not to give to --
THE PRESIDENT: Absolutely. I don't think we ought to have 527s. I can't be more plain about it. And I wish -- I hope my opponent joins me in saying, condemning these activities of the 527s. It's the -- I think they're bad for the system. That's why I signed the bill, McCain-Feingold. I've been disappointed that for the first six months of this year, 527s were just pouring tons of money, billionaires writing checks. And I spoke out against them early. I tried to get others to speak out against them, as well. And I just don't -- I think they're bad for the system.
and your evidence of the cocaine usage?
Another Bush lie: When Bush signed McCain-Feingold, he opposed the provisions in it curtailing the ads. Now he's saying he SUPPORTED curtailing the ads.
Another Bush flip-flop.
Another Bush lie.

"and your evidence of the cocaine usage?"
Have you heard him speak?
that george, he's playing the people for patsies. he's some kinda evil genius, oh no wait, that can't be true, he's too dumb to butter his own toast. hmmm, it's a connundrum.
cute, matti, but unfortunately that kinda evidence is only good enough for fox and they're obviously not interested.
Georgie is not the evil genius; he's pretzally-challenged.
The evil genius is your whispering buddy Karl Rove, whose grandfather was a partner and senior engineer of the company that built the Birkenau concentration camp for the Nazis.
Coincindentally, Bush's grandfather was cited by the US government in 1942 under the Trading With the Enemies Act for helping fund Hitler.
noted holocaust scholar, robert jan van pelt, ph.d., professor of architetcure at the university of waterloo, canada, author of the case for auschwitz and co-author of auschwitz with deborah dwork, looked into this rovian matter:
"I have studied for over 14 years the history and construction of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the center of the Holocaust with more than 1 million victims, mostly Jews, but I do not remember having seen any document linking the firm Roverer Süd-Deutsche Ingenieurbüro to the construction of that camp. I could do some research into this matter—sometimes outside engineers provided the equivalent of what we would call today building code consultancy (in WW II they had to sign off that the project used building materials in accordance with the regulations concerning wartime rationing). But if the firm had been contracted to do such work, it would have been a very minor matter. What is absolutely certain is that Roverer neither designed, nor constructed Birkenau. That camp was designed by the architects of the SS Zentralbauleitung in Auschwitz, with the major responsibility going to Karl Bischoff and Fritz Ertl."
So Roverer was ANTI-Nazi? LOL!
And what about Prescott Bush? Don't tell me: he was staunchly anti-Nazi from Kristallnacht on... LOL!
being a german at the time of world war 2 and being the firm that designed and built birkenau are two completely different things. i'm not saying they were anti-nazi, they probably did whatever job they could get at the time. but the specific charge you make is false, it's an abhorent connection to make. next time you want to cry the victim, just remember how quick you were to smear someone with a taint far worse than cowardice or lying.
you made a competely unverified charge of not only complicity in mass murder but one of profiting from the deaths of millions. the fact that it is untrue, doesn't even concern you in the least. the fact that you used the suffering of others for your own supposed gain to merely make political points is perverse.
and you wonder why the political debate in the country has sunk this low? look in the mirror, pal. i hope you have plenty of jewish friends who support your using their families and trauma for political gain without even bothering to research it. you're a disgusting example of the worst kind of partisan politics. no wonder you hate the swifties so much, people always despise in others what they hate most about themselves.
You are splitting hairs about Roverer Süd-Deutsche Ingenieurbüro. Of course they were not the architects or contractors of the concentration camps; they were not architects or contractors; they were an engineering firm. They have never denied that they HELPED BUILD the camps.
Nevertheless, Karl Rove's grandfather, Karl Heinz Roverer, was Reich-Statthalter (Nazi Party State Chairman) for Oldenburg.
And neither Bush nor Rove has ever answered the question "What did Grandpa do in the war?" Nor will they ever.
"you're a disgusting example of the worst kind of partisan politics."
Stop calling me names, Papa, or Rob will have to delete this thread!
no, this thread should stay up as an example of how low people are willing to sink, as an example of the ends justifying the means. and those aren't names, pal, just an accurate description.
august 25th - kerry 280 bush 238
It just keeps bouncing! It should get very interesting in the next few weeks.
ECK! Stand by for a late announcement earli in Nov about the capture of ol Osama if it looks remotely like the election is in jeopardy. I'm sure dental records will be necc but if thats what it takes to win ....
Lol. Hey, Cheney's already "softening" up the Republicans to make them look all Compassionately Conservative again. once they win, it'll be back to bombing third world countries, but, for convention time, we love everyone, even as we steal their rights and/or lives.
I'm off to London, everyone, until after the Republican convention! Seeing History Boys, Old Times, Measure for Measure and The Woman in White.
I couldn't bear to stay here and see my beloved Island of Manhattan invaded by those wretched barbarians. Take care of our city, and, remember: As they sing in Avenue Q, "It's only for now..."
And Papa--don't forget to take your meds!

Bwaysinger, as usual, the "softening" was a sound bite only, as the Platform committee ruled harshly on that issue.
Tuesday's Zogby's poll had Kerry ahead in Florida by 1%, today's Gallup has Bush ahead by 2%. Poll-wise, it's up in the air...but it's Florida.
