LOL! Deserter-in-Chief Bush has proved himself no more capapble of catching Osama than a puppy is capable of catching its tail!
We'll have to wait till President Kerry gets into office to see how a REAL commander-in-chief does the job.

i'm surprised at you, pal. i was sure that you'd be of the mind that osama was being held at some remote location for unveiling at the proper time. but, pal, you should really watch that kinda language as our cambodian warrior of the band aid variety purple hearts has said he doesn't want people making that case. this campaign should be about issues, not slander (or since we're typing this, libel), right?

Coincindentally, Bush's grandfather was cited by the US government in 1942 under the Trading With the Enemies Act for helping fund Hitler.

"I have studied for over 14 years the history and construction of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the center of the Holocaust with more than 1 million victims, mostly Jews, but I do not remember having seen any document linking the firm Roverer Süd-Deutsche Ingenieurbüro to the construction of that camp. I could do some research into this matter—sometimes outside engineers provided the equivalent of what we would call today building code consultancy (in WW II they had to sign off that the project used building materials in accordance with the regulations concerning wartime rationing). But if the firm had been contracted to do such work, it would have been a very minor matter. What is absolutely certain is that Roverer neither designed, nor constructed Birkenau. That camp was designed by the architects of the SS Zentralbauleitung in Auschwitz, with the major responsibility going to Karl Bischoff and Fritz Ertl."

being a german at the time of world war 2 and being the firm that designed and built birkenau are two completely different things. i'm not saying they were anti-nazi, they probably did whatever job they could get at the time. but the specific charge you make is false, it's an abhorent connection to make. next time you want to cry the victim, just remember how quick you were to smear someone with a taint far worse than cowardice or lying.
you made a competely unverified charge of not only complicity in mass murder but one of profiting from the deaths of millions. the fact that it is untrue, doesn't even concern you in the least. the fact that you used the suffering of others for your own supposed gain to merely make political points is perverse.

You are splitting hairs about Roverer Süd-Deutsche Ingenieurbüro. Of course they were not the architects or contractors of the concentration camps; they were not architects or contractors; they were an engineering firm. They have never denied that they HELPED BUILD the camps.
Nevertheless, Karl Rove's grandfather, Karl Heinz Roverer, was Reich-Statthalter (Nazi Party State Chairman) for Oldenburg.
And neither Bush nor Rove has ever answered the question "What did Grandpa do in the war?" Nor will they ever.

Bwaysinger, as usual, the "softening" was a sound bite only, as the Platform committee ruled harshly on that issue.
Tuesday's Zogby's poll had Kerry ahead in Florida by 1%, today's Gallup has Bush ahead by 2%. Poll-wise, it's up in the air...but it's Florida.
