I think rescues have more stringent RULES than shelters. Just remember, a rule is a four-letter word.

I enjoy reading your posts when the discussion involves things like dance...

I remember once admitting on this board that I was in physical therapy and I got a case of the giggles listening to some of the other patients moan and groan. Sheesh, I was attacked and called insenstivie, mean, cruel, blah blah blah. :-P

Marina Baktis, the dog rescue woman at the center of the Ellen DeGeneres scandal, filed a police report yesterday because she is being harassed for her role in the ordeal.

Of course they did. And funnily enough, that's the same kind of person who'd leave comments like the ones after the video that told Ellen she should really be taking this like a man, after all.

TMZ contacted PETA to get their expert opinion on the whole Ellen vs. Mutts and Moms ordeal, and the animal protection group is standing by Ellen!

Thank you for a very interesting read... I can see both sides of this story. Yes Ellen was wrong and I think the shelter did over-react. I do feel bad for the other animals at this shelter, for after this I would think their donations and adoption rates would make a turn for the worse.

Girl, I already linked that! It sets up the MO that Ellen had them bending the rules for her already, so of course it makes sense she'd want to bend them again.

Except that also sets up the MO that the RESCUE AGENCY didn't follow the rules at first. You've been hemming and hawing this entire thread about how she should have read the contract and followed the rules and how this is ALL HER FAULT. If THEY already bent the rules for her (she can't make them do anything they're not willing to do), it's hypocritical for them to go above and beyond enforce them after the fact. If they had such a problem with Ellen "bullying" them with her wealth and power, they should have never given her a dog in the first place, instead of trying to "take back" their mistake.
