Elton John's Husband Tweets the F-Bomb to Madonna

I seem to remember Madonna attaching herself (quite literally) to Britney when she was the new "hot star". Every major music celeb usually does this, so it's moot.

I do think Elton's vitriol is pretty childish, though. And if this is the same group that nominated Madeleine Stowe for Revenge, then a Madonna win was by no means unthinkable. He really should have thought that through before he spoke.

"Elton John has written a brilliant tribute to Princess Diana. The reworked lyrics are genius!!! Your candle burned out longer before the royalties ever will. On the flipside of the Princess Diana tribute-his new single. WHY NOT????"

Elton John's Husband Tweets the F-Bomb to Madonna

One can only imagine what DF might have tweeted to Mary J. Blige if she'd won.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I was being sarcastic.

Personally, MJB would have been my choice. I loved her song, and felt that it really served the film well. Wasn't wild about the ALBERT NOBBS song (way too long and repetitive at nearly six minutes) or Madonna's. Hadn't heard Elton's or the other song.

^ She would have been my choice as well.

Elton went on record before the show that Blige should win. Or maybe that she was likely to win. Furnish may be right about Madonna and the Globes, but this was a very tacky comment escalating, rather than trivializing, the hysteric silliness (albeit, as avidenced her on bww (myself included), continual fun) of the awards process.

I liked MJB song as well (a lot in fact) but it's not as if Madonna's song was one that nobody thought had a chance of winning (except Elton lol). The songs had very good reviews and its lovely song. Elton said Mary J Blige MIGHT win it, but he was thinking he would, he was 110 percent thinking he would.
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

The category should be eliminated, really. There are no best songs for movies anymore anyway. What's played over the closing credits is exit music, not a song.
