Posted: 3/1/14 at 12:02pmThis winter makes me so glad I am retired and no longer have to commute thru this insanity. I just look at it outside my window and feel for those who must brave the elements.

Posted: 3/1/14 at 3:47pmIt doesn't look like my area is supposed to get hit really hard now. The most I'm seeing from different sources is 2-4 inches. That I can handle. I just know everyone else is going to be in panic mode around here though.

Posted: 3/1/14 at 4:52pmI'm supposed to attend a funeral in south Jersey on Tuesday, but if they get 6-10 inches Monday night, I don't think that's going to happen. This winter is giving me horrible flashbacks to when I was going to grad school in Michigan and the winters felt endless.

Posted: 3/1/14 at 9:18pmYou might be okay. According to weather.com it's supposed to snow until about dinner time on Monday. Main roads will be clear I'm sure - they'll try to stay on top of that as much as possible. The main problem will most likely be residential roads. So I'd think you can probably get there - it'll be whether or not they can break ground. I once went to a funeral where they simply asked people to go right to the luncheon after the church service because there was so much snow on the ground. The actual burial happened a few days later with just immediate family present.

Posted: 3/3/14 at 12:25amThere is practically nothing for my area now. And that actually annoys me a little because Christie called a state of emergency and all government offices are going to be closed tomorrow. I'm sorry, but if we aren't even under a winter weather advisory, we have no business closing down. I'm not saying that for areas that are being affected, just where people are getting a day off of work for no reason at all.

Posted: 3/3/14 at 1:59amOur local news went on between the Oscars and Kimmell and they're still calling for Trenton, NJ to be in the 3-6" range. Not what they were saying yesterday but still enough to make the morning commute difficult - especially when you factor in the ice under the snow.

Winter Storm Vulcan is approaching. I can't seem to find any agreement on what the Tri-State area will get. Some say nothing, some say flurries, and some say about an inch. It's almost St. Paddy's for Pete's sake!

Posted: 3/11/14 at 1:30pmJust heard from a friend in Chicago-- they're expecting 5-8 inches tonight into tomorrow.

Posted: 3/11/14 at 1:32pmIf Detroit gets 9+ it'll officially be the snowiest winter on record. They're in the 8-12 area currently.

So, the stars are starting to align and it appears we'll getting pretty much nothing from this emotionless, logical winter storm.

Looks like it's going to be a messy commute for a lot of us tomorrow morning.
