Its been 8 years or so now since the madness began. Do other people feel like they're in some kind of purgatory being made to watch a bad movie? I have relatives and close friends who voted for this filth. I'll never admire them like I used to.

That exactly describes my feelings about it. I haven't always remained calm with family members, either; I'm sure some observers believe I'm the problem. I don't think I am, but I have occasionally given them some reason to believe that.

The last time I posted anything to do with politics, all hell broke loose so I am going to shut my mouth and be a good boy -lol.

Thankfully it is not a huge problem for me. The small few I know are just totally misguided and unfortunate victims of the propaganda. I can forgive them because I know them to be good people at heart.

I know exactly how you feel. I have some immediate family members that are Dumpers. We don't discuss politics in order to keep the peace. Some of my extended family members are more obnoxious Dumpers and I have very little contact with them. I've also unfriended a few people on social media. Fortunately,most of my friends don't support him; I've always chosen my friends very carefully. I live in Georgia,so you can imagine how popular he is here.

My family is mostly conservative/Republicans. They think he's fantastic. Most feel January 6 was staged by Liberals and everyone was an actor and that any crime that occurred during BLM protests was 100 times worse. There's no arguments when his name gets brought up. This is the cult-type brainwashing he's done to his base and Fox News, News Max, etc. all helped prop him up. Biden ain't nothing special, but the thought of #45 as President again is so scary. Russia would have taken over Ukraine at this point if he won in 2020. Unemployment would be high and he'd continue to give tax breaks to the rich and big corporations. But conservatives think we've actually worse off now than in 2020 when a pandemic was raging throughout the World.
