Trouble uplloading right now, but the NICHOLSON rant to ANN MARGRET in CARNAL KNOWLEDGE. (the "domestic rant"). Absolutely brilliant! His best ever, imho.

I also love The Color Purple, but I'd go with the holiday meal scene.

Let's dance

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

No surprise there...just love the cuts to Regan. Of course there are so many more from this film.

Also the opening mountaintop from "The Sound of Music".

"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."

"In Oz, the verb is douchifizzation." PRS

The ending scene from Dancer in the Dark.
Amazingly acted by Björk. Possibly the most strongest scene in any movie I have ever seen.
Edit: I should warn about the strong contents in this scene. This scene shocked me for days afterwards, so be warned!

Another favorite is the "choice-scene" from Sophie's Choice with beautiful Meryl Streep.

I love every part of Carrie, Stockard.

Here's what I guess is my absolute favorite motion picture moment. It's just so damned cinematic and wonderful. Even after all these years and countless viewings, the opening remains the greatest in motion picture history, imo:

Another one of my favorite moments. Made even more special, because it's in a film I otherwise hate; but boy do I love this!

They never show all of that gorgeous cinematography when they show TSOM on TV. At first I wasn't even sure what movie it was.

lol Stock. I have not seen the movie in the longest time (I may or may not still have the VHS tape) and all I could think about the beginning of the clips was 'Wait.... huh..... is- is this the beginning of The Shining?'
