Where do you grab a quick slice around New York? My favorite is Mamani's dollar slices in the East Village!
I'm asking because I created a free iPhone app called Cheazza - Cheap Pizza, which uncovers NYC's best dollar pizza slices. We want to cover all of NYC's best pizza. I'd love to hear your pizza favorites - take a look at see if they're in the app!

I love PIE By the Pound in Union Square.
I only know of one pizza place that charges only $1. If you want input as to favorite pizza, it would have to be in the price range of $2.50-$4.00, for me anyway!

The app has 70+ $1 slice pizza spots in Manhattan, so check it out www.cheazza.com :)
Where is the one $1 slice spot you know?
The one I know of is at 49th St. and 8th avenue. It's actually a deli, and the pizza oven is in the back. The pizza is ok but no better.
There's a 2 Brother's Pizza on my block at 40/9 and the pizza is really amazing for only $1. I actually think it's some of the best I've had in the city. There's a place across the street at 41/9 that also has $1 pizza (as well as $1 coffee and donut combo early in the morning), but their quality is far inferior to 2 Brother's.
2 Brother's is all over the place though. There's one on St. Mark's and one on 8th and 38th maybe. I can't attest to the quality at the other locations, but the one at 40/9 is great and they're open really late.
Go99 on 86th near 1st ave. actually has pretty damn good one-dollar slices.
The place right across the street from the Richard Rodgers/Imperial stage door is amaaaaaaazing.
Jordan, I can never remember what that place is called, but their White pizza is UNREAL.
I can never remember the name either. And I'm going to have to try that white pizza as soon as it stops raining!

I like John's. I also like Totonno (though I've only been to the Coney Island location) and Two Boots.
The one across from the Richard Rodgers is Patzeria Perfect Pizza. Try the Lasagna Pizza. All the ingredients of Lasagna on a slice. The sausage and peppers slice is good too. The owners have opened a resturant nearby on 48th and 8th, I think.
I also LOVE that tiny joint across the street from the R. Rodgers theatre. Forgot the name.
Others: (not 1.00 but good):
The place on 6th ave/22nd st nr BB &B
Always fresh outta the oven 'cause it's so busy.
Forgot the name....
SACCOS: 9th ave, about 53rd ST. Old, old place and
still good
BEN'S: Spring and Thompson
I like the John's in the village, but John's doesn't sell slices.
My favorite for slices is Ben's in soho-Thompson and Spring.
If we're expanding past $1 then Artichoke for sure. The one on 14/1 is the best. Catch them pull an original out of the oven and it's heaven.

Holy Cow, that Artichoke place looks FABULOUS! Gotta trek east.
tiny- Artichoke is AMAZING! The crust is awesome and it's like having heated spinach artichoke deep smothered on pizza.
I know this isn't pizza, but it's near Artichoke at 7/2. It's called Pommes Frites and has these Belgian style fries with nearly 30 dipping sauces to choose from. If you've been out drinking in the East Village they are two perfect places to hit up when you get the munchies.

99 Cent Fresh Pizza on 9th Ave. at 41st street was pretty good when I had it. Only part I dislike is it being only a takeout window. That's fine in warm weather, but not in cold.
There was a place on 8th Ave that was really good but the only thing I can remember about it was the sign on the wall that read "CPR For Customers Only". lol I wish I had taken a picture of it.
For me, that would be Little Italy Pizza at 1 East 43rd Street. I've been going there for over 20 years and always make it a point to grab a slice whenever I'm in the city. The eggplant slice is what I go for first.

The 2 Brothers on 6th ave between 37th and 38th has very good pizza for 75 cents!

Neighboring Bombay Pizza also sells slices for 75 cents. I think it's a good old-fashioned price war between the two!
