Female-Heavy Play?

Hi. Female-Heavy Play?

My school is looking for a mainstage show for next year; we have around 9-ish girls and three boys.

Past shows we've done are Top Girls, A Bright Room Called Day, Anton in Show Business...

We've been looking at "Blood Wedding" by Lorca.

Any suggestions? Female-Heavy Play?

Let's see what the Methuen Drama catalogue has to offer...

Well, it offers a piece called 'No-Boys Cricket Club' by Roy Williams, m3 f10. But other than that, there's a few where gender combinations don't seem to matter, such as '14 Songs, 2 Weddings, and a Funeral' (m/f10), 'Death and the King's Horseman' (m/f12), 'Whale' (m/f12), 'Strictly Dandia' (m/f14), or 'Three Sisters' (m/f14). Sadly the catalogue doesn't offer synopses, but hopefully the titles are something to go on.

If you're gonna do Lorca go with Bernarda Alba, one hell of a show.
