re: How to schedule a 'Meet & Greet' with Cast Member

Apr 10, 2008 — 12:00:02 PM

Hey there, I do these for Broadway Artists Alliance all the time.... you need to contact the stage manager or company manager (get a theatrical index, the contact info is generally in there). They will ask for a donation to Broadway Cars/Equity Fights AIDS - each show does it a little differently (I don't want to post amounts here). Just FYI.... "Legally Blonde" has a strict no talk-back policy on Sunday evenings, and for all shows, talk-backs are not mandatory for the casts. I've always mana...

Stickers

Jun 6, 2006 — 12:34:59 PM

Does anyone know where I can get theatre stickers? I'm looking for something theatre/NY, like the comedy/tragedy masks or something to that effect. Any help would be appreciated! I tried every single theatre/NY souvenier shop from 42nd to 46th all the way over to 9th Avenue!

Hey! I don't post too often but I'm always reading the message boards!! I go to Wagner College (Staten Island) and a small group of us are currently working on a revue to benefit BC/EFA. The event is entitled "BROADWAY ROCKS" and features a lot of contemporary show tunes. We are performing 3 shows at Wagner and 1 in Manhattan. The shows at Wagner College are Thurs.-Sat. December 2-4, and the city show is Mon. December 6th at LaMama, ETC: http://www.lamama.org/index_2.htm Come out and support ...

re: broadway on broadway - casts to perform announced

I got there at 7am last year and was second row away from the stage. There was already a decent-sized line when I got there. I recommend getting there around 7. That's when I plan to go.

re: bway musical/play with two brothers as the focus?

Aug 10, 2004 — 7:18:41 PM

What about "The Secret Garden?" Obviously, it's not the main focus and one part is bigger than the other, but I've seen it done with twin brothers before and it's really powerful (esp. "Lily's Eyes!") Of course, you need to have an insanely talented child.

The Brothers Grimm story is a great musical - it's called "Once on this Island" :)

You can't go wrong with "Children Will Listen" from INTO THE WOODS. It's not specifically about moms but it definitely works.

CATS. Definitely CATS. That was the most horrid 3 hours of my life, with the exception (MAYBE) of the SATs.

re: I Need Help Find a Show with a Soprano Lead!

May 17, 2004 — 8:06:41 PM

Definitely "The Secret Garden," but you need really talented kids. Yeston's "Phantom" is soooo much better the the Weber version, so check that out too. It sucks that you want a contemporary show because everyone's into belters now (myself included!). A lot of the older classic shows have fabulous soprano roles.
