They are.

Please: An interjection used to express disbelief. George W. Bush is a great president? Please! Atlernatively: puh-leez (antiquated).

Thank You: Another interjection used to accent a command. Get your damn feet off my table. Thank you.

I went out with a girl once who felt badly. Needless to say, it didn't work out.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

But come on, if you print this thread up, you'll have a *MOMENTO as a keepsake.

(*Another bizarre substitution, now so widely used by the educated it has turned up in some dictionaries, next to memento.)

Oh, woe is I. I'm almost positive I've said, "I feel badly" in the past.

My last words on this, I vow: This ubiquitous epidemic of feeling badly has a strange faux erudition -- people who should know better sometimes insert it as if to providen evidence of correct usage.

I have a friend, a sociology professor, who once tried to fix my pitifully generic but entirely correct statement: "I felt bad about it" with a prissy, reworded, italicized retort, "I'm sorry you felt so badly, but..." I said "no, no, as I said, I felt bad--". He replied "Well, no matter how badly you say you felt--" This went back and forth until I threw a drink in his face, a sidecar if I remember correctly, and then he pulled out a pearl-handled personal revolver and threatened to blow my d--k off if I didn't drop it.

Some people just have to be right.

This thread has provided myself with a lot of information.
