To be honest, I am quite shocked. RIP.

oh no.... RIP thoughts to her family and friends...
Oh my gosh, I'm actually really shocked. I was just watching a video of her a week ago and making fun of her with my brother... I feel so sorry for her and her family. She seemed really close to her mother.
RIP.
I still remember watching one of her first audition videos on Youtube and Seacrest was talking to her about where she was from. She stated that she was from Allentown PA, and that there was a song written about it "written by I think, Bon Jovi" was what she said. Did she not realize that Allentown was written by Billy Joel?

Unlike many of the rejects they make fun of, I honestly thought she was actually decent, if not good.
Rest in peace.
Oh, that's so sad. We always remembered her as the "Take that!" girl. She made Simon laugh when she flipped him off at her last audition.

RIP. I can't help but think that she said the persona on Idol was an act.
I just don't know how anyone can live with themself knowing they killed someone and drove away. Shame on that driver.
Very sad.
I am sure the driver was the usual trash that occupies Seaside for the summer.

As sad as this is, i'm not sure why this is news.
You lump everyone that goes to Seaside in the same category. Nice ljay.
ILLM, who were you in your previous incarnation on BWW?

If there's a rock and roll heaven
Well you know they've got a hell of a band!
Alexis gave Cowel the finger
Used Janis as a piece of her heart
And the Idol show gave us all a little blurb.
But she went out to light her fire
Didn?t remember to look both ways
Now she?s found another place
Since she jaywalked off that curb.

It's news if you can attach any sort of "celebrity" to it. Even if the article has to explain to you how she's connected...as a non contestant...just a contestant wannabe.
Thoughts to her family.
PS...chances are if the driver was intoxicated, s/he has no idea yet that s/he hit anyone, yet alone that s/he killed them.

Exactly. It's terrible when people die, especially like this, but I don't understand why this is news. All she did was humilate herself to get on TV. It'd be like reporting the death of a guest on the Maury Show.
She had some serious anger management issues and I hope she's at peace.

Was this the year who lived with her mom and pets and said that she would "Just get into actressing?"
If so, I think that they were WAY TOO HARD on her and should have taken her! She had a much better voice than the rocker girl Amanda something that made it that year.
"Another strike for Jersey."
Yes, because Jersey is the only state that ever has hit and run accidents.

I hope Simon is happy now. If he had let her on Idol she'd no doubt be alive today. Yes- Simon, your criticism has now KILLED SOMEONE!

I always liked her audition. I thought she had an incredible rock voice that just didn't work for American Idol. RIP, girl.
Yes, MTVman. It was the same girl.
I guess she's actressing in the sky now.
I bet it was Paula that hit her.
