Choose the economic forecasts you read carefully. Unbiased, apolitical economists predicted the events of 2007/8 long before they happened (just as the current Eurozone crisis was predicted in the late 1990s). I myself was in a meeting of finance professionals in May 2005 where we all foresaw what ultimately cam to pass.

Not at all. I think Obama is a terrible president and I think he will continue to be a terrible president. While Romney seemed like the perfect job applicant to save us from that "economic cliff" everyone is talking about. But the bottom line is it won't effect me much at all. And it wasn't like I didn't anticipate Obama winning; I am aware of how hard it is to beat in incumbent.
Like I said in the title of this thread, "Four more years!"

Posted: 11/7/12 at 9:56pmOur economy was going to continue its recovery irrespective of who won last night, but it'll be nice for this recovery to become past of Obama's legacy. He has earned it. He'll probably add comprehensive immigration reform to his list of accomplishments, and we'll eventually look back on his presidency and finally realize how much got done.

Facts and truth did not matter in this election.
So many things in this election that were really important, simply did not matter. 8% to 10% unemployment for FOUR STRAIGHT YEARS did not matter. 2% to 3% economic growth did not matter. The unemployment rate among African Americans is nearly 15%, yet 95% of them voted for this President. "Fast and Furious" is a movie with Vin Diesel. Benghazi?? Isn't that the last name of one of the JERSEY SHORE cast? The "new normal" for a gallon of gas is $3.50; doesn't matter. You would think that a president who threatened to bankrupt coal MIGHT have a hard time winning PA. But it doesn't matter. Four years of deficits over A TRILLION DOLLARS, didn't matter.
No, what REALLY mattered in this election was Mitt Romney bullied a gay teen, was a rich man, took a drive in his car with his dog on top, killed a steel workers wife, is a tax cheat and a felon, and only invested in Chinese companies,
What is important really doesn't matter.
Romney's campaign brought pocket protectors and clipboards to a Chicago street fight. Hey, GOvernor Romney, these people made LIGHT of your wife's Multiple Sclerosis. THAT might have been a clue to bring out the big guns.

Facts should not be influenced by how people "see" things. Facts are facts. Are you disputing the facts in my previous post? We have NOT had 8 to 10 percent unemployment? We have NOT experienced economic growth in the two and three percent? The Democrats did NOT make fun of Ann Romney's MS??

Facts are facts.
that's a funny thing to say for someone whose party has a large section who says evolution "is just a theory" and that homosexuality is a "choice." one of the candidates, bachmann, actually ran a clinic which actively lied to people by telling them they could change their sexuality, and lied to them again after the therapy failed by promising they would get something better after they die so long as they remain celibate.
