I like Whoopi's outfit except the hat should have been taken out and shot.

If James Earl Jones, Vanessa Redgrave, and Angela Lansbury can dress up so can Frances. She can be as quirky as she wants in her personal life but when you attend a major awards show you dress accordingly. Maybe her bong was so strong that she passed out at home and woke up too late to call a gay designer to send over a dress.

On NY1 On Stage last night they were talking about it and one of the panel (Patrick Pacheco, I think) said they asked her about the dress and she said she paid $60 for it at a thrift store. When asked about the jean jacket, said she wore it to protect the dress. That made me really laugh.

The Tony's are different from the other awards shows in that not everyone has the full day hair and makeup and wardrobe thing going on. Most of the folks there do matinees, run to get presentable and get to the show. I am much more forgiving of someone who wants to be quirky and different. Hell, anything is better than wearing a stuffed swan!

Is it just me or does the McDormand jean jacket scandal fall flat against last year's HUNTER-JENN VS ZETA-JONES blow out?

Come on TONYS...you can do better than this!
