I didn't really know where to post this, but I thought it should be posted. At Bennington College, two students were in a dance rehersal and were leaning against a plate glass window. The window broke causing the two girls to plummit 20ft onto a patio below. One of the girls (whose name I don't know) is in critical condition, and the other girl has been upgraded from critical to serious. The reason I am posting this here is because I know one of the girls (I went to middle school and highschool with her). She is an incredible person who has a deep passion for music. I performed in musicals with her for 6 years and she is a great performer and is a truely kind hearted and wonderful person. Please keep both girls in your thoughts and prayers.

Wow, that's horrible! I'm so sorry to hear about their accident. I can't even imagine...

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

I feel bad - but why were they leaning against a glass window?

I interpet this to mean that the window was like a floor to ceiling window, so I assume that the girls were simply using it as something to rest against during a long rehersal. I wonder though, why would plate glass give out so easily? Thats absolutly awful, Im so sorry

It was a floor to ceiling window...the whole wall was like that. They were up against it as part of their rehersal. I just heard from another friend of mine that the girl i know..her condition has been upgraded from critical to serious... but sadly it doesn't look like the other girl is going to make it.

This is so horribly tragic. I hope that I can speak for myself and for BWW that we are thinking of you, the girls, their families, and the other dancers who had to witness this, ans I will definately be keeping them in my prayers.
