I expect the glee club season is much the same as any sport's season, or any competitive school activity, the better part of a semester. So stretching their "season" to fit into the show's season shouldnt be a problem. You rarely see a kid on television going on summer vacation.
Twentysomethings playing high school is nothing new either. I'm not sure how these kids will age...we'll have to wait and see. The oldest kid is Quinn...she's 23.

Finn is 27, as is my beloved Puck.
And thanks, Tink! I love him so!

"Wool? Weren't you dying? Cheerleaders today would die in wool uniforms! They work hard!"
"Or itchy?"
We didn't wear the uniforms for practice, just games. We worked hard, let me assure you, we had various leaps and mounts. We also wore fleshtone tights or pantyhose as I recall to help keep our legs warm for football and hockey, with big ankle socks on top of that. Hockey you couldn't do much but shout and use arm motions and your megaphones as you only had these little stalls in front of the plexiglass protector walls by the ice. It was freezing.
The wool was nice quality and not itchy. Worsted wool most likely, which is not itchy and besides, they were not against our skin. Our swirly underskirt linings for the winter sports were thick satin, smooth against your legs. Turtlenecks under our sweaters. Maybe the sweaters were a cotton-wool blend, big, thick, heavy pullover, open necked with a letter on the front.
Basketball we had thinner wool one piece short pinafore-like dresses, custom sewn to fit that year, mind you. Leotards and maybe turtlenecks under the pinafore, which was sleeveless, that I don't recall offhand. Again, stockings and socks. Hey, the gymnasium could be cold, too.
We never complained about our uniforms, which the school provided free on loan. They were beautiful and we loved them. We took good care of them. We had strict rules about when to wear them and how to behave in them as representatives of the school. We certainly did not wear them while hanging around school or attending classes. The outer garments would be passed on to the next year's cheerleaders and stay in good condition. They did not get worn out or need to be replaced every year; very good quality.

Lea looks lovely and her dress is elegant.
At the HRC dinner. The clip cuts off just as Lea starts singing.
The cast of "Glee" was about as popular as President Obama and Lady Gaga at Saturday night's Human Right Campaign gala.

Awwwwwwww, he sounds like such a sweetie!!
Wow, Glee has done the impossible for me.... they have made me like, maybe even love, a Avril Lavigne song!
The week episode looks like a real standout
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofuThat was beautiful! Teary eyes all over again. Can not wait for Weds now.
Loved this episode!
Did anyone notice that the letter-writing sequence was almost a direct parody of Judi Dench's monologues as the teacher (SPOILER: bitter lesbian schoolmarm SPOILER) from NOTES ON A SCANDAL?! Campy to the enth!
If you've seen the movie, you know why that was a PARTICULARLY witty parody to put into this particular episode...
... or was I the only one?

Gotta love the new GLEE clip that's featured.
As much as I enjoy Rachel and Finn, I hope to see more of the other members featured in songs, and it'd be great if they went against "type". Give Mercedes a Joni Mitchell song, for example.
