I really liked tonight's episode! I love sensitive & nice Finn. Kurt is funny with his not so subtle hints to Finn, while he is completely oblivious. I'm excited to see that relationship develop. The Rachel/Mr. Schuester thing was creepy at first, but it was nice for Rachel to realize that it just wasn't going to work out & the Peppers girl gave her a reality check. The Quinn thing was crazy, no wonder the girl is nuts. Look at the parents! The ending was so sweet, & I loved their version of Lean on Me. I was tearing up too!
Artie needs more songs & screen time! That's all I ask...
I'm very glad (especially after last nights episode) that they're fleshing out Quinn's character. She's a damn good actress and there's a lot they can do with her other than playing a constant bitch. I did love her fathers "Glenn Beck is on!" line. That says it all about her homelife right there.
I liked last night's show a lot! But it's sort of bugging me that they are just going to let Finn go on thinking he is the baby's daddy. I just can't believe that he hasn't figured out that she couldn't really get pregnant the way she said it happened.

I've given up on expecting much in the way of good continuity between episodes, and will just enjoy each episode on its own--and, even without Sue (maybe she was too busy volunteering for people with disabilities), I MUCH preferred this week to the last. Lotsa great lines, some good songs (I coulda done without Lean On Me), if Puck had been shirtless too it woulda been everything I could have asked from from Glee.
I was in tears at the end too Eris0303! It was so good, as was Endless Love, I thought it was beautiful (once you get past that it's a teacher/student duet!). I wonder how long Mercedes is going to keep Puck and Quinn's secret. I was a little upset that she was so concerned for Quinn when she's as responsible as Puck. What about Finn? No one cares what it's going to do to him?
PS-Puck looked so so drool worthy during Lean On Me...gah!
i agree Evie, that does piss me off. If everyone is all sympathetic for Finn, then the fact that knowing he ISNT the baby daddy should register with you a little bit. Sure no one really likes Puck but still, Quinn is no angel here.
I wish they didn't have songs where you can obviously tell there is a HUGE choir in the background when there are only a handful of Glee kids.
Yeah, it's not like Puck raped her right? She was a willing participant. And I also agree that they are totally not thinking about how Finn is going to feel when the whole thing comes out.
On a side note, what is Will's wife going to do now that everyone knows Quinn is pregnant? She needs to find another baby.
I did love her fathers "Glenn Beck is on!" line. That says it all about her homelife right there.
And the fact that her parents always seemed to have a drink in their hand.
Sure no one really likes Puck but still, Quinn is no angel here.
I agree that Quinn is no angel but I have to back up what Mercedes said last night about Quinn making her decision. IMO Quinn made the right decision for her child. Is it fair to let Finn go on thinking the baby is his? No, but would Puck's family have opened their house to her? We don't know much about his family as an audience but I have to say no.
I was in tears at the end too Eris0303!
It's funny because that number was exactly what I personally needed at the end of yesterday.
I thought it was funny to watch her parents' faces change as Finn was singing "She's Having My Baby" to Quinn. At first they were all "Awww....la di dah...."
"It's funny because that number was exactly what I personally needed at the end of yesterday."
So did I! I actually saw last night's episode in a hospital room while visiting one of my best friends in the world. It made us both cry like babies!
Just downloaded "Endless Love" from itunes. I'm such an embarrassing sap. What a cheese fest.
Will's face during that song was hilarious.

oh and I was really bugged by Mercedes' reaction and her advice to Puck... I read this review and it summed up how I felt about it...
But what was up with Mercedes? Puck blurted out he was the real dad to her and her response was bizarre and fairly cruel to both Puck and Finn, as she stated that Quinn had chosen who the baby's dad was and that was that. Really? She doesn't think Finn should know he's not really the dad? She doesn't think Puck should be involved, given he actually is the dad? It was a really strange response, and given Mercedes is not generally written to be an unlikable, manipulative person (That's Terri!), I'm not sure how the writers thought this was a justified viewpoint for her.
I agree with that too. Quinn can't just decide Finn is the dad just because she wants him to be.
I liked all the Matt singing last night!
This cracked me up:

Aww jeez, this show really gets to me.
The whole scene where Finn's mom walks in on him singing to the sonogram... the capper being her reaction as he collapses into her lap. THAT was a great acting moment right there. Later on, when she told Quinn that she can stay as long as she wants... that just did me in. I hope we see A LOT more of her, I think both she and Kurt's dad ground the show in reality (if only for a fleeting moment) in a very good way which provides a wonderful respite to the usual proceedings.
I still think Jane Lynch absolutely MUST make an appearance every episode, if only one line. I need my Sue Sylvester fix!
And danmag, I will now think of you whenever I hear GLEE's (Matty Fresh and Wendla's) "Endless Love"! I'm a sap too!

as much as I love seeing Jane Lynch and would love to see her in every episode... I'm happy that she doesn't HAVE to appear in an episode in order to make it a good episode... the show is still good no matter what!
OK, hubby got me the Glee soundtrack for my birthday today........but now I want all of last nights songs also!
Yay, Hells!
And I've decided that if Quinn can just decide she wants Finn to be her baby daddy, that I've decided that I want Chris Daughtry to be my son's father now.
Humph!
Oh, hun. Did Chris Daughtry spray his shorts in the hot tub with you?

Totally but it was for the purpose of plot which this show has always been about. I love Glee but I don't even try to pretend it's character driven writing.
