OH! Okay. So is it the same station to get the R7 as when you get off the NJ Transit?
I apologize for the questions.

Chinatown Bus Lines has a service between NY and Philly...google them.
NJ Transit and SEPTA are the relative transit authority for each state/area...servicing commuters with both bus and train service.
I still believe the local NJ Transit train to Trenton and then switching to the local Septa Train to Philly is the fastest, most convenient and most affordable way to make the trip.

Posted: 6/15/06 at 4:08pmwhat? You have to go to a different station? Track? Where is the station that you get the R7 in relation to the station where you get off the NJ Transit?

The R7 SEPTA train waits on the same track in Trenton as the one that the NJ TRANSIT train pulls into--usually directly in front of it. Even though SEPTA and NJ TRANSIT are operated by different states, they coordinate schedules for a (usually-see below) seamless transfer at Trenton. Follow the crowd making the switch.
Be aware that if NJ TRANSIT is more than ten minutes late arriving in Trenton the R7 may leave and strand you for an additional hour until the next scheduled R7 (some travellers arrive in Trenton other than by NJ TRANSIT--walk, bus, auto, etc. and why should their R7 train be delayed because NJ TRANSIT is late?) Its happened to me. But that's the risk you take by saving money and not riding Amtrak from NY to Philly. And it's usually a smooth trip and great bargain ($33 round-trip as of two weeks ago if i recall correctly--that includes both NJ TRANSIT & SEPTA.)
And why not simply call NJ Transit and ask them any additional questions? You grow INCREASINGLY agitated as this thread continues.

Posted: 6/15/06 at 8:53pmGreyhound has buses from NYC to Center City Phila for 14 dollars each way if you purchase the tickets on line. The express bus takes 2 hours and they have other buses that make a couple of stops and take about 2:30 min. I recommend the bus over the train. It is cheaper and almost as fast.

This wasn't very difficult to look up. From Trenton Train Station, take the R7 to either 30th street station, suburban station or Market East (which ever is closer to where you are going)
Depending on what day you are going and the time- it looks like it is about a 45 minute ride from Trenton.
