Gilmore Girls Season 7

The one weird thing to me was with Emily, actually. She did that weird snappy thing with everyone. Usually she is like that all the time to everyone. But she did it with the little girl and with Sookie. It seemed out of character for her to lose control like that.

I really liked the little girl that kind of "represented" Lorelai though. That was very smart.

Wow - another really depressing episode. The only high points: Paris and her S.A.T. tutoring session, and the fact that Lauren Graham looked particularly pretty.

I liked that Emily seemed to be making an effort with Lorelai, and that's about it. I'm still concerned that Lane's got a child growing inside her as a result of terrible sex, the sole time she's even had sex.

This one was much better. Emily was spot on, she was "teaching" the little girl so for that one night she was her "Lorelei" to her.
At the party she was much more herself.
As much as I hate the Lane pregnancy, at least they handled it better, and I am pretty sure they were about to try the sex again there.
The show is not up to par yet, but I was close to giving up on it and this episode turned that around.
Having Kelly Bishop in every episode will be a necessity though.

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Anyone catch this episode? I love the Sound of Music reference. I thought it was good. Not great, good. It seems as though they keep getting better every week, so hopefully soon the writing will be back up to where it was.

I thought this was the best episode of the season so far.

I loved this episode. Much better than previous ones this year. Loved the Sound of Music, loved the Emily situation and Rory's new friends!

It was just great!

I found Rory's new friends only slightly less annoying than Logan's buddies.

Also, did Christopher actually have some projectionist sitting around in the middle of nowhere waiting for them to show up?

Aw, I liked Rory's new friends. They were vaguely reminiscent of the two girls she was chummy with in high school (whose names I can't remember for the life of me).

Kelly Bishop was hilarious, as always.

Is it possible that they could have used the word "amazing" any more than they did last night?

I thought that was the BEST episode this season. By far. I was actually relieved last night. They finally got some of their speed and wit back. Now I am more looking forward to next week. Was it just me or did anyone else see the huge leap in quality?

Seriously? I kind of hated it.... maybe the strongest of the season so far, but that's not saying much of anything. The banter was a little more on this week, but I... maybe I've just outgrown it or they've lost me. I cannot stand Rory as a character at all anymore. She was being ridiculously sulky over having dinner with Logan's colleagues. You know what? Sometimes you just have to suck it up and deal with it with a smile. Lorelai can pull off the neurotic girlfriend thing because she at least has a sense of humor, but Rory doesn't do it as gracefully. And don't even get me started on Christopher.

Anyway, unfortunately, I think I'm throwing in the towel. The past few seasons have been mediocre, but this one so far's been nearly unbearable.

I thought last week's was better, mainly due to the performance of Kelly Bishop. This week's was okay, but the shoddy writing shows through (seriously, go back and see from scene to scene how many times the word "amazing" is used).

I won't give a spoiler, but this week's TV Guide reveals something major that's going to happen with Lor and Chris in Paris.

Oooh! Can't wait to see what that turns out to be. They just told you in TV guide though? Why would they want to ruin it? And is it new next week because there were no previews for the new episode?

This season, so far, is quite uneven. And who else thinks they "jumped the shark" bringing Luke's daughter on. Last I checked it was GILMORE GIRLS...

Then again, while I love the show, it hasn't been the same since Rory entered college. A lot of the appeal and charm has always been Lor and Ror's relationship. Now that Rory is, in a sense, an adult, it's seemingly less charming.

I still like the show, but I'd bet that this is the last season.

As far as I know, this is the last season. Alexis and Lauren are out after this one. And, as far as the shark, the show jumped when Luke & Lorelai got together. It was a classic "they did it"/"Moonlighting" type of thing. There's a reason romantic comedies end when the two main characters get together.

I thought the season was looking up after the first couple of episodes, but tonight's was just painful! Not one of the storylines went anywhere.

There was a very interesting article about the show in the Times today. This morning I thought it was a little harsh, but after tonight I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

I thought tonight's episode was really funny. Lorelai's phone call at the beginning seemed like something from the earlier seasons, and so did her fake French. So I actually enjoyed it tonight.

True to my word, I didn't watch last week or this, but I happened to catch the teaser for future weeks and I wanted to gag.

See I thought after two week's ago it was really looking up- I loved that episode. Today's was just weird... Next week's looks big though!
