I think Lorelai needs to have that relationship before she can fully commit to Luke. Every time they try, he has ended up leaving, and it's always a what if situation. I think she just needs to have that before she can get away from him forever.

And I digress, but Patronus, I love your avatar. I ADORE that show and Stacy and Clinton.

It was alright, but definately missing in the hilarity department. Usually, even when it is depressing like this one it's funny.

The high point was Sookie and Michel armwrestling, most definately.

Second episode of the season tonight, which I shan't be missing as I must have been in some kind of hypnotic delirium to miss the last...lulled into forgetfulness by the painfully monotonous tedium of The Lake House.

In summation, it's all Keanu Reeves fault...isn't everything...

So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

Gilmore Girls is so emotionally draining for me. But I love nothing more.

No one's acting can break my heart like Lauren's can. So so so amazing.

Ugh - awful episode. Lauren, Scott and Alexis seem like they are bored and tired of doing the show. Luke's sis and bro-in-law are annoying as hell. Lane suddenly looks 35 (which she actually is). Kirk needs to be strangled to death. Where the hell are Richard and Emily?

I'm really shocked that they've gone two episodes without them.

Last week I didn't, but this week I really did miss the writing. I felt like they did the "umm..." thing a lot. I could really tell it was different this week. But I didn't really think it was the actors's faults- I really think they are being given crappy material to work with at the moment. I hope. But I agree- Where are Richard and Emily?

I've loved this show since episode two of season one.

I hate to say it, but I think we're witnessing the end.

I think 7th Heaven should have ended last year as planned. I think GG should have also.

I think the CW sucks ass.

This was the worst episode of Gilmore Girls I have ever seen.

I'll give you that SOMMS. re: Gilmore Girls Season 7
The Lane issues were awful though, and the use of "pop references" was insufferable. There was very little in the way of warmth or wit, just how much nonsensical babble can I cram into each moment.

The Lane stuff was...blah. I liked the Asia stuff and Kirk's - but other than that, it wasn't all too special.

I enjoyed the Night in Asia and thought that "Kirks" was a noble try, but the entire Lane storyline was so wrong it undid all the positive steps this episode took. And I would like to repeat where the hell are Richard and Emily!?

I hope they went ahead and bought the "compound" on the vinyard, are summering there, didn't realise Rory was still in town so they didn't mention it. re: Gilmore Girls Season 7

I really think the writers are trying to establish the "new" Lorelai and Rory before they unleash Emily on them. It's going to be fabulous when she lets loose!

I feel like the writers have utter contempt for Lane. To actually have us believe that she's really so naive as to not know that the first time you have sex can be pretty crappy was an insult to both the character and the viewers. I suppose it could be written off as a hormonal thing from her pregnancy (a pregnancy she's been saddled with at 21 or 22, after just getting married and having sex once, mind you) but still. I call BS on that.

Perhaps the show holds all pregnant women in contempt now, as I refuse to believe that Liz wouldn't have realized that oven was as cold as ice when she put the casserole in.

Still no Emily? I'd call BS here as well, but at least the goddess that is Kelly Bishop has been spared two weeks of terrible scripts.

The characters have all taken a massive "stupidity shot" but, I agree Kringas, the worst seems to have been done to Lane.

Also, just how long is it supposed to have been since this "encounter" one week? two? It is rushed and unrealistic.
At this point I just want to see the Gilmores, even with terrible lines, the "new" Lorelai and Rory need to be shaken up.

Yes, where the Hell is Emily and Richard?

Lane will probably mis-carry like Lucy on 7th Heaven.

Lorelai will probably end-up knocked-up by the trist with Christopher and find out about five minutes after she and Luke make-up, or better yet, Lorelai and Luke will have make-up sex and the three of them (Lor, Luke, and Chris) will have to go on Maury Povich for a "who's the daddy?" segment!

Meanwhile, Alexis Bledel will only be able to get bit parts like her three minutes in "Bride and Prejudice"

Next thing ya know, Paris and Kirk will hook-up and then Move on up to the East Side (have a spin-off)

I forgot to tape it last night. Boo.

So wait, Lane is preggers? And can someone explain the Asia thing? I'm confused as usual.

I could see the pregnancy thing happening a mile off. ( Esp in view of Mrs. Kims "bridal talk" w her) In fact , most of the characters seem to be sleepwlking thru their roles. I think that the writers are going to find it hard to juggle the different characters and their plots. But I'm a bitter and cynical woman, maybe its just me.

Anyone watch tonight's episode? I think each week they get more into the right writing. Next week looks pretty interesting... with Christopher. We'll see.

I was pleasantly surprised this week. It was a huge relief not only to have Richard and Emily back, but to see that they're being written correctly. Even the Lane pregnancy storyline was well done. I feel like GG may have come back to us.
