I hate when they do that. You get such a good mental picture of the person from their description and then they show up and it's not as good. I remember thinking that with Brett Butler's sitcom. She used to make all those jokes about her ex-husband, then when the character came on the show, it wasn't nearly as funny.

They look nothing like the photo Rachel had in her locker in the pilot (but then again, the photo of the two parents were not actually actors according to Ryan Murphy), but I really like these choices. Having Goldblum be all Goldblum would be a perfect explanation of why Rachel is the way she is.
My original choices were Jim Rash and Jesse L. Martin fwiw.

I thought one of them was supposed to be black? They showed a picture in season 1 and had a joke about it.
Sorry, just had to. That was a comment I saw a million times in response to the tvline article that made me want to slam my head down on a desk.

Lea Michele posted a photo to Twitter today with Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell titled 'Dads.' Looks like Glee fans aren't very familiar with Brian Stokes Mitchell body of work, since he played Coalhouse Walker Jr. in Ragtime. Personally I'm excited to see them reunite...
