You know what's crazy? when I was younger I took dance lessons from the same guy who was the Phillie Phanatic (I doubt it's the same guy now), and he was in my dance recital one year haha.

Since the Phanatic is the most popular mascot in professional sports history, and voted the best mascot, by most sports fans and magazines, the original guy started his own business, and actually trains mascots, and creates costumes for them, etc.

I'm afraid of the Rays. They're too damned good! I don't even think of them as a real team, though.

WOOHOOO!!! I am barely awake and have 2 cups of coffee already this morning. I am so excited yet bummed we have to wait a week for the Series to start. My neighborhood went nuts last night. People were outside banging pots and pans and honking horns...someone even let off a few fire works (and I live in NJ, can't imagine what it was like in Philly) The pictures of Broad St and Cottman Ave were crazy and no incidents occurred in the celebration. Imagine if we win the World Series...this town will explode.

Did you see after Carlos caught the last out and everyone ran to the field. Pat stayed on the bench and had tears in his eyes. I am so happy for him and Jimmy. They were with the team when we were god awful and now they get to experience this.

I am a little scared of the Rays,because we didn't play them this year. I think we can handle the Red Sox, but you never know with them.

I am still so pumped. When we get to Game 3 Citizens Bank Park is going to be INSANE

Stangely, many of our students are absent or they were tardy today(9 out of my 13 are out today). Can't imagine what will happen if they win the World Series. If there is a parade (knock on wood) I will def. be calling in sick to go (or watch it on tv)

I called my grandfather up last night after the game (he is 82). He has never missed a Phillies game (he watches them on TV now) He was crying and said he hopes they win because he would love to see them win the World Series again before he dies (morbid but he said it so lovingly) I would love to get him tickets to see a game of the World Series but I can't afford them.

Blonde that picture is awesome.....So I went to bed last night thinking we were going to play Tampa in the World Series...so I was a bit suprised this morning when I woke up and saw that Boston came back and won it...so I guess we have to wait till this weekend to see who we are playing in the World Series...

Did anyone go out yesterday and buy a shirt or hat? I couldn't get to Modell's yesterday

True...on ESPN they said they had the second worst attendence in MLB. It's "fans" like this that tick me off. I hate front runners. BTW we are the underdog of the series. All of the "experts" picked Tampa...many of them picked them to sweep us.Everyone is counting us out, which I kind of like. I think it is going to be a good series and it will go all 7 games.
