I need a senior quote for the yearbook, which is due tomorrow.
I've been looking, but can't seem to find anything that really jumps out of me.
Anyone got anything?
"Don't dream it, be it."

"This time a ripple, next time a wave."
Anyone Can Whistle
Those two are great, any others?
And PLEASE nothing from Rent or Wicked haha.
Just reread the title. Not from musicals. Sorry.
Even though it's from an animated musical, it's still a wonderful quote:
"The most impossible dream can come true if you believe it." - Cats Don't Dance
There was something else from the original French version of Les Miserables that went, Nous voulons faire la lumière/Malgré le masque de la nuit/Pour illuminer notre terre which translates to "We want to create a light/Despite the darkness of the night/In order to illuminate our land." It may be too long, but it's sort of a hopeful message.
If I think of any more I'll post them.
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
"The prettier the flower, the farther from the path"
Into the Woods
thats how it goes, right? sorry if i worded it wrong.
I've been pondering this too, but I'm only a junior. I LOVE that Rocky Horror one. I'm writing that down...
"Don't be afraid it won't be perfect. The only thing to be afraid of, really, is that is it won't be."
-Company
"I think there's a time to come to [insert High School]... and a time to leave... Enjoy your party" - Company
"I carry with me promises that can't go wrong, as I travel on my way."
Violet
Too bad everything I can think of comes from Legally Blonde... it just seems to fit so well.
Or how about something from "Find Your Grail" from Spamalot? (Me being me, I have to recommend "You can sing, you can dance, and you won't soil your pants!")
"But somehow I can't shake, the feeling I might make, a difference to the human race." - Avenue Q
was mine
"I learned was to be brave and not to expect that everything's going to come out perfectly."
Stephen Sondheim. The quote I live by.
I ended up going with this one from Into the Woods:
"Oh, if life were made of moments,
Even now and then a bad one.
But if life were made of moments,
Then you'd never know you had one"
or something like that.
Oh, that's absolutely great! And it's not one of those incredibly trite musical theatre quotes that you keep seeing, either.
