ok, I'll give it to you straight. I might be able to type but I am drunk aned sort of deressed and sad and stuff like that.

my internship is ending.

my friend's grandfather died and she is having a difficult descion about whether to contine ASMing the show here or go to the funeral. Her father had a heart attack this summer, and her grandmother is in acoma. And she feels like cutting herself with a razor. Not to kill herself cause she has been given 15 years to live cause of a cancer tumor at the bottom of her spine. If she has the surgery, she would be paralyzed from waist done and she does not want that.

and the guy I like is leaving tomorrow (cause internship ends) and he has no idea and there are two other women hanging all over him and I am not the type to just go over to them and just proclaim my love and drag him away from them.

life si wired. werid. weird. wahtever.

nigth all. or morning what ver way you look at it,.

Just saying hi to everybody.
Off to the dentist in a few. Hopefully major dental visits are finally winding down. I'm having a bridge installed in my mouth today. Isn't that exciting? I may start charging all the food I eat a toll. Tollhouse cookie maybe...

Ohh hope everything goes well at the dentist, Barb. I quite like my dentist. He loves Broadway and always schedules my appointments 15 minutes longer so we can discuss the shows we've seen lolol.

My school starts August 29th...

guess I'll live ... funny thing is, my appt. was originally yesterday evening at 5:30, even picked up hubby from work early. But turned out I'd forgotten to take my premed antibiotics an hour before, and the dentist couldn't do the work. Only he forgot to ask until after he'd given me a shot of novacaine (usually i'm good about remembering, yesterday was just weird). I was numb until around 9 PM I think. lol TODAY on the other hand, first shot didn't do anything. Next one, I started feeling a little numb and tingly. Anyway, wound up with several shots including one that hit a nerve, but that was good because it helped deaden it. Still felt a good amount of pressure during the extraction, thought my whole lower jaw was gonna come lose instead of just one tooth.

Thanks to a big dose of "advil" I am feeling pretty fine now, saving the prescription pain killer for bedtime.

Anyway, glad it's over with. Back in a week for him to check that my gums are healing okay. My son Brian is getting a bleaching tomorrow. He has never had a cavity!

P.S. I xoxo y'all as only a doped up post-dental surgery mama can!

aww thanks Barb! hope all is well. I hate goint to the dentist. Last time i went, I had to get a cavity filled and he told me I could listen to music if I needed too. So he juiced me up with novacaine and I listened to DRS to drown out the noises of the drill. It helped a lot!

Oh Barb - you have more nerve (if you'll excuse the expression) than I. So far I've only had to have teeth pulled twice and both times I got a nice, friendly shot of sodium pentathol in the arm and then a nice nap. When I woke up, it was all over. Root canals I can handle, but tooth extractions give the willies!

Mamie, not so much nerve as it is cost and what insurance will cover more. My deductible's eaten up at this point for the year, but I ended up only having to pay $30 for the extraction.
Yeah, it was kinda rough, but hey, long as I have some pain dope handy I'll be okay. lol

Thing about root canals ... when you have to get one, you learn that they sound a lot worse than they really are.

Sodium pentathol ... is that the same stuff that's commonly called "truth serum?"

School starting discussion ... public school started here Monday of this week. Brian's classes (private university) start next Monday.

ETA: btw, I can't smoke or suck for a while. One of those I don't do anyhow and I guess I can live without doing the other for a few days.
