Akiva, your quotes were great tonight as always! Thanks so much for those!
(in the one about it being quiet, though, I think you switched Christina and George. I may be wrong, though).
I'm looking forward to read the writer's blog as well to see what they had to say.
Yeah, it was definitely Christina who dropped the Q-word.

Ah! Thee-ay-ter! AH! That literally bugged me for the rest of the night. And Alex is making me so angry. Good episode, though. Very serious. Though I thought they would make a bigger deal of there only being 6 deaths instead of 7.
I liked that they played down the 6 and not 7 thing. I also love the Izzie/Denny thing. Alex is an ass and does not deserve her. I loved when she told him off. Alex may be right with a few of his statements, but he has no sense of compassion. I can get that he is mad and lashing out, but leave poor George out of it. He is like a little lost puppy dog. You can't kick the puppy...its just not right.
I am gald ALex is going to get sort of told off next week (at least that is what it looked like in the previews). As a doctor you need a sense of compassion with your patients being an ass does not really work.
And Izzy was amazing for telling him off, best part fo teh entire show!
More quotes that I loved (which I snagged from comments on the writer's blog):
Meredith (to Christina): The She-Shepherd hot-chocolated me.
Bailey (to Mer about the stalker patient): Let’s hope she lives to gently stalk another day.
Bailey (to the stalker patient): Spleen trumps horoscope.
And this week's blog made me happy, because it gave me some Mer/Der hope. Shonda wrote: "You should maybe take note of the fact that Derek didn’t take it so well when Meredith told him about George. You should maybe note that he got a look on his face. And you should remember that I said that EVERYTHING on our show comes back around again. That’s all I’m saying. You just remember that."

Crap crap crap! I missed it AGAIN last night! Clearly, I fail.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
I have been known to smack people w newspapers who use the "Q" word even ten mins b4 the end of my shift! Seriously the gremlins will getcha!!( CODE BLUE!!!!!)
Nice work on the quotes, Akiva - it wasn't really a quotable week, but you and #1Elphie got the ones I liked!
I don't check the blogs or podcasts (I should probably start) - what did they have to say about Alex being a dickface this week? Still...I wouldn't kick him outta my bed for eating crackers, you know?
And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who got a jolt from "thee-ay-tor". I actually rewound twice to make sure I heard it right. Let's hope it was a character choice to go along with her reference of being from a trailer park.
I still don't like Sara Ramirez and "George" - I just don't see the chemistry. Are we supposed to be rooting for them, or are wse supposed to consider her a rebound relationship to distract him from Mer?

I wanted to kill Alex... honestly, even his hotness doens't save him from being completely disgusting. On the other hand, with every episode, I love George more and more.

I personally am not rooting for them as much as I am rooting for George to man up and go for her.
I'm normally with you on both counts, DD, but this week, I felt that George WAS getting too mopey. It's probably not TJ's fault, and it's true to his character to still be running the hell away from Meredith whenever he seems her, but as much as Alex was a total wad this week, I was a smidge glad he finally smacked George and told him to get on with life instead of wallowing in self-pity. So yeah, I agree, Colleen - I'm not hoping for George and Sara (what's her character's name again?) to get together; I just hope he mans up and moves on.
Tiff, the blog and podcast are really interesting and usually shed light on some things that aren't clear in the episodes. No good explanation for why Alex is being such a jerk, though. Here's a quote from this week's blog:
"In real life, the actor who plays Alex (Justin Chambers) is the sweetest, kindest, most normal family man in the world. But the guy he plays on the show is a vicious mess. And battling a drawling, sexy, sweet heart patient for Izzie’s affections is starting to wear on him. All I can say is wait until you see what happens next."
this show keeps getting better and better...........

For some reason I was under the impression that it was going to be a new episode tonight. Damn.
They have been advertising a new episode all week! I guess they have been advertising it for next week. Dammit.

I know it was a repeat tonight and everything, but that episode is just amazing...I already knew what was going to happen, but i think i actually cried more this time than the first time.

Which episode was it? I missed it.
It was the one with the train wreck. Where Der chose Addison. And you're right, Expressboy, it was a really good one, even though it was a repeat. I cried too.

I cried a bit too....though nothing like the first time I saw it. The first time the episode aired I absolutely bawled at the end. I still think that is one of the best episodes so far.
I just lost it watching this episode...again. I love this show.
I cried like a baby last night. I couldn't believe that. I think that if Derek hadn't talked to that girl and seen how she felt towards her fiance` and had to deal with the emotional side of it he would have chosen Meredith. Then there was the whole telling her she was going to die and seeing that played out. Last night was an emotional rollercoaster. I hadn't seen that one before. How can you love a show that makes you cry like that?
Big casting news:
Dane Cook (aka McSteamy) has signed on for at least 13 episodes next season! Hooray!
