re: Grey's Anatomy

And said the wrong Kate... Why didn't she think about it before?

I watch because of the different medical scenarios as well as the doctors's personal lives - and I find it especially interesting when the two parallel each other.

See, I just tolerate the medical scenarios. re: Grey's Anatomy

re: Grey's Anatomy

What I don't understand is that of all the recurring guest stars she could have thanked, she thanked Christina Ricci; who was only in the two-part episode, "It's the End of the World as we Know It," in season two. I found that so utterly random. Ricci must have been the first guest star that popped into Pompeo's mind. They should have had someone more...eloquent...make the speech.

re: Grey's Anatomy

Poor Ellen. She was having a bad night last night, considering that speech and that outfit. I absolutely love her, but she probably should have thought about what she was going to say ahead of time. She seemed really nervous, and I think she's a pretty shy person, so I was surprised to see her accepting the award. Her awkwardness seemed like classic Meredith behavior, though.

We knew it was coming...Callie O'Malley!

Great episode, I want to see next week's episode now.

re: Grey's Anatomy

I don't even know where to begin. One of my favorite episodes. Too much to talk about.

SPOILERS

Callie O'Malley... wow. Yay for George standing up for her at the end. Very cute.

Izzie... it was the first day. What did she expect?

Meredith... almost cried with her. She was great in this episode.

All those glances between Addison and Alex... amazing. Also loved when Mark grabbed Addison after she came out from the OR. I think she will be chief because of that. And Sloan... such an a*s. Way for the three girls to take that initiative.

Amazing. Just amazing.

Am I the only one who *really* didn't see the Callie/George thing coming?

re: Grey's Anatomy

Kel- thanks. Didn't even cross my mind.

Atrias- No. I didn't either. I thought Callie would say no.

re: Grey's Anatomy

I loved the scene near the end when George stood up to his friends and defended "Calliope Iphigenia Torres"!

re: Grey's Anatomy

Okay, I didnt see the George/Callie thing either.... not in that respect. I started thinking maybe they both said yes, but I certainly didnt see Callie "embracing the trashy" and the two of the hopping a plane to Vegas and getting married.

Love the Addison/Alex moments..... Right before Callie used the cartoon bear analogy, I was thinking the saaaaame thing. I cracked up when she said it!

The scene at the end, when Richard went in to see Ellis and he was talking about all the things they would have had..... oh god, that killed me. I was crying like a little baby -- Im not even gonna lie.

Ditto when Meredith came in and Ellis no longer had her memory.

And the scene with Cristina and Burke? LOVE IT. That was so so cute when they both got all excited and he picked her up. Awwwwe!

That was one hell of a freakin ring, though! Oh man. Even if you don't do rings how can you not wear that?

As usual, I can't wait for next week!

re: Grey's Anatomy

I loved last night's episode.

I'm in the minority here, but I love Ellen Pompeo. And she looked fabulous last night. There were so many great moments in the episode, but I think my favorite part was her monologue with her mom.

re: Grey's Anatomy

I don't mind Ellen Pompeo - she can be annoying at times, but so can most actresses.

I agree that last night she gave an incredible performance. Her speech to her mother ("you're why I'm this way") where she was fighting back tears was some amazing acting, as was when she realized her mother had lost her memory again - you could see her heart breaking just by the look on her face.

re: Grey's Anatomy

It was definitely a great episode. There were so many 'wow' moments...the preview for next week is killing me! I want to know what happens like right now.

My favorite subplot of last night was Ellis and her scenes with Meredith and Webber. Normally Meredith annoys me a little bit, but last night she was awesome. I really like how they show the relationship btwn. Meredith and her mother, especially because it explains so much about Meredith's personality and why she does what she does.

"embracing the trashy"

I thought she said "ebracing the tragedy". Maybe I'm crazy- I don't know.

I don't love Ellen and I don't hate her. But I thought she was GREAT in this episode. Especially the scene where she was telling her mother why she was that way. Really really good.

re: Grey's Anatomy

I'm pretty sure she said "we hopped a plane to vegas -- yeah, I know -- embracing the trashy" or something to that effect.

I like Ellen and I adore Meredith. Im clearly in the minority though. There isn't really anything about this show I don't like.

re: Grey's Anatomy

Meredith's monologe was great. The look on Ellis' face was pretty priceless, too. I wish Ellis and Meredith could have talked about it more, but alas things don't always work out like that on Grey's (or in real life). Poor Richard, Adele leaves him (he had it coming though) and then Ellis comes back and they talk out what might have been.

re: Grey's Anatomy

I'm not necessarily the hugest fan of Grey's, but I've been watching the last couple of weeks because all my friends do, and I must say...that was a really good episode. I've seen an episode here or there and didn't think much of it, but the one last night was really well done.

Careful gumbo, thats how I got hooked. It was Superbowl Sunday last year and I've been addicted ever since.
