Hot or Not?
I say HOT! I'm such a sucker for guys in polo shirts with clean hair cuts and khaki shorts...and flip flops. Yum!

I love it. Personally, I LOVE A MAN IN A TUX.
Preppy works. I love it.
Flip flops are granola, not preppy.
Preppy.
Short slicked hair
Khaki pants
Pink shirt
Penny loafers
HOT!
Or a Khaki suit, shirt with french cuffs, loafers no socks.
Everyone in my high school dressed preppy. We had a dress code.
No jeans were allowed.
The guy I dated in high school wore khaki pants, french cuffed shirts, loafers and no socks and a whale belt.
Ha ha.

Not true. I used to work at a country club and I can't tell you how many young guys I saw wearing polo shirts, khaki shorts and flip flops/sandals. I was in heaven. I'm not partial to the slicked back hair...I like it brushed forward with the tips curled upward. There were plenty of those guys at the club.

He was really cute and tall 6'4.
Blonde curley hair.
And the funniest guy in class. I always loved the funny guy!

Attraction to Musto?
I respect Musto as a writer. He is funny and I am glad he gave me the chance to interview him.

That's my favorite summer dress, too: polo shirt, khakis (or cargos sometime, whatever), sandals/flip flops.
I, however, can never have what anyone would term a "neat" hairstyle, with my near-fro.

Posted: 5/29/05 at 12:13amYeah, I'm usually preppy. I don't like to pigeonhole myself, though, so I'm an eclectic mix of your classic prep (J. Crew, Gap, etc.), neo-prep (Abercrombie & Fitch, etc.), with an urban twist (Urban Outfitters, vintage couture, etc.). But once in a while, I like to go for the all-American preppy look.
#11re: Guys who dress Preppy
Posted: 5/29/05 at 3:34amI say NOT. because I assume they're gay and when I find out they're not I get pissed off...
#12re: Guys who dress Preppy
Posted: 5/29/05 at 4:24amNOT. Of course I'm just a total rock/bohemian most of the time and a total anti-prep, LOL. Although I'm into vintage (real vintage, not the psuedo ripoff look most clothing stores provide) and such, yet I still buy clothes at the GAP and Old Navy, but only pants. If I buy nice shirts I like them to have an artsy twist. Which is where Target comes in, LOVE LOVE LOVE TARGET. But I cannot stand khakis, polos, tacky "stylish" flip-flips, and that stupid werewolf look guys try with their hair. Or Abercrombie, AE, Aeropostle, Hollister, etc. Sounds contradicting but that's just me. SO yes I'm a mean, nasty judgemental bitch HA HA HA.

Posted: 5/29/05 at 9:05amMmmmmm...Love a smart guy in a polo shirt, khaki shorts, flip flops, and a clean brushed forward haircut. NOT A SMART ASS, though. Don't like people who act like they know everything. But just someone who you know is smart but acts modest. OOOOOO yea.

Barrett Foa in a polo shirt, khaki shorts, flip flops?
Let me think about it...
#16re: Guys who dress Preppy
Posted: 5/29/05 at 9:41amFlips flops were hot last year.

Barrett went to Dalton, he also dresses perfectly.
I love what he wore to the Lucille Lortels.
He wore a pinstripe suit and a shirt with pink polka dots.
He looked adorable.
Dalton boys know how to dress!

Posted: 5/29/05 at 9:52amNot for me at least. Only because in my school all the guys wear like the "pimp" clothes the girls are the ones who are preppy. The guys wear ecko, sean john, and all those other brands. I like it better then guys wearing like abercrombie and stuff like that.

if it's a gay guy, yes. You would have to stop me from jumping him.
A straight guy, eh maybe, because I can't have a guy whose cleaner then me. We had one of those people come to school and talk about tolerance and drinking and all that stuff, I fit all the male stereotypes he said
I'm really not that manly though!

But CATS, don't you assume everyone is gay?

Posted: 5/29/05 at 3:09pmJust thinking of an army of conformists in their matching preppy uniforms (because their version of the in-crowd has to look exactly alike) is enough to make me want to hurl. Hurl invective at the soul-deadening choices their cookie cutter look symbolizes and hurl chunky vomitous on their vacuous faces.
