Interesting choice to market them together like that.
And even though I should have expected the 3D thing, it still made me groan.
PEEING MY PANTS WITH EXCITEMENT, I CAN'T WAIT
An 8 month wait in between Part 1 and Part 2. CANNOT HANDLE.
oh my gawd
oh my gawd
oh my
oh mh
oh my gawd!!!
I can't waaaaaaaaaiiiiitttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH.MY.GOD. I just jumped up and down in my bed
Is this REALLY going to be the last one though?
Yes. No more books after this one.
It looks amazing. But here is my one concern, which just may be the editing so far....
SPOLER AHEAD for those who haven't read the book:
In the trailer, Harry yells at Ron to kill something we can't see....I'm hoping this isn't Nagini because my absolute favorite part of the 7th book was when Neville killed Nagini, just because Harry told him to.
I really really really really hope they don't change it for the film.
Looking forward to it. The only thing I was not crazy about was the music. It now seems to have this "epic choral" feel that makes me think more of a big blockbuster disaster movie. Even a big fantasy movie but for some reason, not a Harry Potter movie. Just me I guess!
Disgusted that it's in 3D... but I still am quite excited for this! (It's my guilty pleasure.)
I cannot believe it has been 10 years since the first one!
It feels like maybe 5 years at most since the first... am I the only one who feels like time completely flew by?
I was hyperventilating during this trailer, not gonna lie...
Also, Voldemort reminds me even MORE of Michael Cerveris than ever, especially the way he says, "HARRY POTTER."
Wendilin, Ron's holding the sword, I'm sure it's Harry telling Ron to kill the Horcrux. Wishing, the last two movies have also had parts in 3D, and they were actually pretty enjoyable. I also loved the bizarre electric guitar "Hedwig's Theme" at the end.

I doubt we'll hear that music in the final film. Trailer music rarely comes from the film it's promoting.
As for the trailer? I can't count how many times I've watched it. It looks AMAZING!

Less than five months! I am so excited, but I'm sad that this is going to end. The first movie was released when I was five, and the books and movies have become such an influence on my life. When the seventh book was released, I comforted myself saying that there were still a couple more movies left, but now, I don't know what to do when the movies are done.
That scene at the beginning of the trailer with Voldemort and Harry just looks so intense. I really hope I can go to the midnight screening of the first part, even though I'll have school the next day...
On a slightly unrelated note, I just have to ask, am I the only person who found A Very Potter Musical very boring, dull, and just not funny?
Yes.
Yes.
I got chills watching this. I can't wait!
If you don't want to see it in 3D, then don't and just see it in 2D.
The trailer looks beyond epic and I cannot handle the wait. Deeeeeeeaaaaaath.
Yeah, what's with all the 3D hate? Just see it in 2D if it bothers you that much.
Count me among those literally bouncing in their seat with excitement. It's going to be epic. I know people are going to start whining about the hype sometime around the November release, but for me, this is the culmination of 12 years of fandom and totally worth it.

loved the trailer!
has anyone tried to download it from itunes? appears that it's been busy for hours.. just that one trailer!!
The film(s) have not yet been scored but it's rumored John Williams will be doing both. I hope it's true.

Alexander Desplat has actually been announced as Part 1's composer but it's highly likely Williams will score Part 2. Both he and creative team want him to.

I hope they manage to get some energy into the films again. That HALF-BLOOD PRINCE was a real snooze. I wish they'd convinced Alfonso Cuaron to helm the rest of the series after his brilliant PRISONER OF AZKABAN, still by very very far the best of the series.
Interesting, Prisoner of Azkaban was by far my least favorite movie (and it was my favorite book by a big margin). The tone was just so different, almost Tim Burtonish, in a way that I didn't think fit Harry Potter at all. All of those weird shrunken heads, singing toads, and I hated the direction the actors were given, because it seemed like everyone's acting got WORSE since the second movie, when they were more closely directed.
