DAME - let's do it together, and alternate the roles.
But at the matinees, I want to be Ito.

Raquel Welch might actually make an interesting Dolly but she always finds a way to break her contract by illness or pregnancy. I don't think she likes the rigors of Broadway.

She left WOMAN OF THE YEAR because she claimed to be pregnant. Debbie Reynolds replaced her. Shortly after Reynolds took over, Welch claimed to have a miscarriage.
In Victor/Victoria, she claimed to be ill and the show closed.

Personally, I don't think that Racquel Welch would be a good Dolly. But as far as faking a pregnancy, she is too old for that.

That's true, Yenta. However the Harmonia Gardens staircase would have to be reinforced with steel girders to support your weight.

One more remark like that DollyPop and I will have you singing soprano. Ever hear of castrato?

It's spelled "castrati". In the context you use it, it would be "castrato".
Yes. I'm familiar with the term. I enjoy Baroque opera.
