Of course we all saw Hunky StageManager2!
And from what I saw in interviews, Zac seems to want to get out. From what I hear though Disney contracts SUCK and are not the easiest things to get out of. Those that have been mentioned really should get out because they have real talent and I would like to see them use it on better things!

Apparently they are making a Hannah Montana movie. Maybe Hannah and co. could transfer to the musical High School and hijinks will ensue. How could Troy the Basketball Star resist the allure of the one and only Hannah Montana?
I love how incestuous these Disney things all are.

If there was any movie to be made it should have been Raven.
I miss ya Rae!
That Hassachusetts Massachusetts actually shows up in HSM2 in the finale song.

woops, I definitely just bumped another HSM2 thread! lol, anyway, I might as well just copy and paste my review from the other thread (WARNING: extremely long and rambly)
...I actually enjoyed it *hides*
granted of course it's completely teenybopper, all but two of the voices (Lucas's and Zac's) sounded completely computerized, and the acting was a bit laughable at times (with the exception of Lucas again and Ashley Tisdale, who surprisingly made me really feel bad for her in the end). But it was still really fun! And hullo, Bet On It. Most hysterical thing I have ever seen. EVER. It's a good thing Zac's gorgeous or else it would have been painful instead of really funny :P
But seriously, the choreography was actually MUCH improved I thought. And.. dare I say... with some big exceptions, it was even verging on GOOD choreography! Some of it was ridiculous (again, Bet On It, and also the wave thingy in What Time Is It), but those kids actually really CAN dance. I thought Work This Out was very cool, and I Don't Dance was awesome (except Corbin's voice annoys the heck out of me. But the dancing's great).
Most improved thing about the movie though? Zac's voice. kldjfsklaj it is SO refreshing because it actually sounds REAL instead of Drew Seeley's (who did the dubbing in HSM1)! Granted Drew has quite a good voice, but it seemed so FAKE when paired with Zac's deeper speaking voice and made it seem like Troy was going "oh no I don't sing.. *starts singing in a very effected, popstar voice*". It was just ridiculous. Plus, Zac's voice is just prettier and purer anyway. It may not be technically as good, but he has gorgeous tone and great pitch! It felt so natural and gave much more legitimacy to the music.
So yeah, unlike the first movie which was only fun because it was SO campy and fake, this one actually had moments where I thought "if there were some changes in casting (*cough*Vanessa who's not a great actress OR singer*cough*), choreography, and the acting was better, this might ACTUALLY be a legitimately decent movie musical!"
And.. I really do like the music. A lot. I've kind of been listening to it almost all day. And don't even get me started on how much I cannot get Sharpay's version of You Are the Music In Me out of my head. It's too damn catchy!!
ok, I'm done rambling now. But really, it was cute. It was (and Zac has gotten full on legit GORGEOUS. Those EYES and that BODY omg)

The choreography never bothered me. Actually, I thought it was quite good in the first. Those kids sure know how to dance.
It's just everything else.
But snl honey, you better stop thinking about Zac. He and Hannah Montanna are clearly heading to a 5 minute celebrity wedding phase and then a messy divorce which involves them connecting and reconnecting on very emotional levels. In the end, poor Hannah will forget all the good raising Billy Cyrus bestowed upon her and she will refuse to take care of the little Hannah/Zac mini children. Zac will be left alone handing over the children to very strong, very gay "body guards" but you know that's not why Zac keeps them around the house. Meanwhile, Hannah is partying and partying until one day she decides to completely change her name and position in life without ANYONE knowing and she lives the rest of her life with a new life that she adores. Everyone else wonders what became of her, but she is finally happy.
Roninjoey gave me an idea..

LOL!
AnnaK<3LMIP, that was kind of brilliant
no really, it's sad how much of a Zac fangirl I'm becoming. I feel like I'm returning to my 13 year old self again. But I can't help it, he's beautiful!! And I really DO love his voice.
(I'm certainly not pretending like he did a good acting job in the movie though. Sorry Zac hun, I love you, but the acting was very overdone. However, I DO think he has acting potential based on Hairspray and his days on Summerland- just not in cheesy Disney movies
I am really exited for him to start getting away from the whole Disney channel thing and working on real projects with good directors who'll help him. He's got the charisma, he just has some bad habits he needs to work on- particularly with facial expressions)

As far as the overdone acting goes:
Uh, completely agree. But I can't help but wonder if maybe that's what they were all told to do? I kinda have the feeling that they are all better actors...but Disney movies are always this overdone now. The Cheetah Girls started it. I remember the good ol' days when there were quality films on the Disney channel. There really were some GREAT ones. The one when Shia LaBeouf played a mentally ill twin and..URGH TOO GOOD.
But anyway. Because Zac wasn't bad at all in the Hairspray film, and as much as I can't stand her, ashely tisdale apparantly almost got one of the lead parts in Mean Girls, and they wouldn't have come close to casting someone who couldn't act well.
I dunno I dunno..

He was very good in the movie Miracle Run and his guest roles on Heist, CSI Miami, ER, a pilot called- If You Lived Here, You'd Be Home Now and some other bit roles. Most or all of which can be found on that website. I still want to see a movie he did called The Derby Stallion. I find him to be rather good in dramatic roles.
but yes, he needs to get away from Disney.
And stop talking about him and hananah bannah fontanana. I can't stand her.

EXACTLY. see, Zac didn't over act at ALL in Hairspray. In fact, he was pretty much just perfect. And watching clips of the other stuff he's been in, the ONLY time he really seems to over act is in the HSM movies. He's really not bad, and I have a feeling he can get REALLY good with time and good direction.
And Ashley IS a good actress! She and Lucas/Ryan were the only two who actually came across as good actors even IN this movie. Well, ok maybe not Ashley quite so much in the beginning, but definitely in the end during the "crash and burn" time. I was like "woah.. wait a second.. she's actually doing this scene WELL!"
and yeah, Disney channel used to have some GREAT movies. The Color of Friendship was actually so good it could have been released in theaters imo! And Smart House was super cute. ugg I used to love Disney channel movies so much. And then they started going way downhill.. the HSM movies were actually a little bit of an improvement over some of the other recent ones because at least they're entertaining!

THE COLOR OF FRIENDSHIP!
My favorite movie ever. It really is.
I'm surprised, looking back, that a film like that wasn't developed some more and released in theatres. What a moving, moving piece of work. It practically made up my childhood, watching that movie. Well, childhood meaning 6th grade.
