Have you ever actually run from the room sobbing and paused at the door a second for dramatic emphasis before slamming it shut? Doing it in a show doesn't count...

Sort of. I stormed out of a rehearsal once and slammed a door really loudly...but I wasn't crying.

I've always made dramatic exits - but never BAD ones like the one you described. I'm not a B movie actor...

Slam the door? What good does that do? I leave the door open and force them to make the effort to shut it.

yes, Christmas Eve 1999, our first Christmas here in Palm Springs. My partner broke something very dear to me, and I lost it......cried, slammed....went to bed with the Vapors.

Very silly actually, the emphasis we put on material objects. I apologize to him , for it, every Xmas Eve.......because I made him feel very bad.
