hard as it is to believe, I actually sometimes read non-HAIRSPRAY related posts, even though they might not include people saying wonderful things about me!

and it makes me once again wonder...

If someone like, oh, let's say "LocalOneCrew" (among others) can in good conscience write about what he/she sees or hears about backstage about specific people and use their names or about new performers (in, oh, let's say RENT) by name, why not stand by your statements with the inclusion of YOUR NAME??

are you embarrassed? afraid it would effect your employment? would it change what you would write?

If it would change what you would write, maybe you oughta have a little talk with yourself!!

just ask Eddie Varley, he knows what I'm talking about!!

The only reason I don't post under my 'real name' is cause I believe the name 'robbiej' makes me sound far cuter than 'Rob Maitner' ever could.

I don't like putting my name on the internet. Just one of those things I guess. And I do love gossip. But I don't lie. And I try not to be meanspirited... but I must admit to getting out of hand at times and then pulling back. But making things up about people just for the hell of it is sick . Anyway; .. love Hairspray and continued success. Very well deserved I might add. ( had the pleasure of meeting both you and Scott in Los Angeles at the Village a few years ago). Both so handsome by the way.

hey theatremafia,

don't give anyone ammunition, I never said what they say is "made up"! It may or may not be, I honestly don't think anyone makes up something, but they do spread either unproven gossip or simply things they should feel more familial (is that a word? how about fraternal?) about and keep it to themselves and their co-workers

working at a theatre is an honor that deserves a tad more respect (dare I say self-respect) and honor (IMHO)

Good lord! Why can't we just speak English on these boards!!?? Do I really have to go out and buy "The Official Dictionary to Understanding Words, Phrases and Abbreviations used exclusively on BroadwayWorld.com"! That book is 600 pages long and is like $40 bucks a pop!....... just to piss myself off I am now going to translate my message into German! Haha...

"Guter Lord! Warum nicht können wir gerecht Englisch auf diesen Brettern sprechen!!?? Muß ich wirklich erlöschen und "das amtliche Wörterbuch zu den verstehenden Wörtern, zu Phrasen und zu Abkürzungen kaufen, die ausschließlich auf BroadwayWorld.com" verwendet werden! And, Marc, if you don't want another Eddie thread how about "Who is robbiej & what can we catch him in next" thread? No, too open for the creatively suggestive here. How about "Who is robbiej and where's his next performance...." No same problem again. Okay, make it simply "Shilling for robbiej". Has a nice ring to it.
