It makes sense for the writers to kill off Nikki, since she has been "cured". They have nothing to do for her anymore. But it will make for (hopefully) a great journey next season for Micah.
I really thought it was going to be Kristen Bell's character to get it. I guess I was wrong.
Nathan's mom is a bitch, and I love her for it.
I do enjoy 'Heroes'. I didn't watch the second season back when it aired and only got back to it last week. Which I think was a good idea; by waiting so long, the high expectations from the first season had chilled down, and I wasn't met with weeks and weeks of steady decline, just a few hours of "it's not brilliant right now, but it has its moments, and aren't you now really looking forward to season 3?".
Also I had forgotten how much I enjoyed looking at Nathan Petrelli. I'm confident he'll be up and around in season 3, and I just hope he hangs out with Hiro more. Those two together never fail to make me smile. :3
So roll on season 3! ^_^
Anyone watching right now!
Yeah it is. I forgot almost most of last season!
Woa! What just happend?!
That's his mom?
Two best lines:
"Claire, that's disgusting."
"Thank you, turtle." (I laughed so hard when he was corrected).
So far, seems better than last season. We go into the season thinking okay, we have the Syler thing again, but now the twist of it's the villians he let loose, and that he might be on the "good guy" team -- very interesting.
I don't ask for much from my super-hero-based entertainment. I just need Nathan Petrelli to take off his shirt every now and then, be overly affectionate towards his brother, and occasionally hang out with Hiro Nakamura so they can be hilarious and amazing together. Which isn't *too* much to ask for, seeing as Hiro is amazing no matter what he does, and can inject a metric ton of awesome into even a mere five-second scene with Nathan, who is permanently terrifically fond of Peter.
Anyhoo. Cancel my afternoon, I've got a ton of 'Heroes' to watch. Hurrah for the beginning of season 3, and totally roll on the rest of it. ^_^
I am so intrigued by this season so far. It's nice to finally know what Mrs. Petrelli's power is, but did anybody else feel that the reveal was kind've anticlimactic? They treated it like it hadn't been a question people were asking, which was definitely not the case.
There are so many characters in this show that I really love, and very few that I actively dislike. I absolutely love Mr. Bennett, Sylar, Claire, and Hiro (really, who doesn't like Hiro?). I tend to dislike Peter, mostly because of his emo nature and the actor's less than stellar acting skills, but he looks like he might be a bit less whiny this season, what with future-Peter being around.
And is Linderman dead or not? I'm inclined to think that he's part of Nathan's imagination, but then I have no explanation for Nathan's miraculous recovery.
Linderman's power was the power to heal others (like the plant). Angela Petrelli's power is the power of precognitive dreaming (remember Pete was having wacky dreams before he started doing anything more interesting).
Did Pete ever meet Linderman? 'Cos that's currently my only rational explanation for Nathan's recovery, but I can't remember as far back as the first series. But then, Linderman knew Petrelli Sr; Peter could well have been in his vicinity as a child but only unleashed the healing-others power when confronted by such a desperate situation as corpsey Nathan.
Linderman is totally dead. But this is a sci-fi show; just people may die in sci-fi doesn't mean they are necessarily gone for good.
Because Peter had been having precognitive dreams right back at the beginning of the first season. He kept dreaming about flying. It was the first power he exhibited. Then, later, he actually flew, which was kinda the giveaway that the dream was precognitive and not just a dream (although it wasn't until just now that most people realised that).
And in that second episode of season three, Mama Petrelli said something like "didn't you wonder where you got your wacky future dreaming ability from? I totally see the future in my dreams, skippy!" (words may not be exactly true to script...).
Sounds a lot like "Peter, you know how your superpower is being able to use other people's powers? And you know how you precognitively dream sometimes? That's because precognitive dreaming is my superpower. Mama is so proud o' you!" (again, words may not be quite accurate...) to me!
