Glenn is such a loathsome pig and this interview captures the very essence of why.
He makes inflamatory and melodramatic comments strictly for shock value and soundbites, but has no ability to rationally support his assertion.

There goes Katie and the liberal media asking poor Glen a bunch of "Gotcha Questions". I think the conservative reply would be Glen's comments were taken out of context or he mis-spoke. Republicans never lie. They misspeak or liberals take them out of context.

Watching that Martin Short clip made me have the same reaction I did when Tina Fey did Palin - how can people be taking them seriously when using almost their exact words works so well as a comedy sketch?

Beck is riding the crazy wave to up his own popularity - I don't think he really believes half the stuff he says. But I also think that eventually he's going to discover he's playing a really stupid and possibly dangerous game, because those crazies? Well, they're crazy.

We always hear about folks like Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, et al 'firing up the base'. Well, I couldn't care less about them firing up their base, as long as they're alienating the rest of the world, and I'd think that an interview like this with Couric would help.
