They also performed at NJPAC.
As I have yet to experience a sing-along Sound of Music, I hope it comes back, just to have some "authentic" looking Marias!

I feel sorry for R&H and their heirs because the von Trapps have everyone thinking that Edelweiss was an Austrian folksong.
...when we all know that really it was the Infiniti Club Remix that caught on over there.
Maria was actually last seen in the upstairs window at the Bates Motel.
Freidrich moved to New England. He sells antiques and is dating a heavy set man from New Jersey.
Aunt Max choked on Pink Lemonade while out dancing in one of GAYorges' dresses borrowed from the Baroness.
It's all in Glebb's new scintillating book... ."After the Sound."
Alternate rejected titles:
"Whatever Happened to Baby Gretel?"
"The Hills Are Dead Now"
"Von Trapped"
"Mama Maria's House of Regret... and Skiing"
"There's a Nazi In My Gazebo"
"Get Over It, We're HERE Now"
*applause*
b12b: brilliant!
HAHA
that made my day
I take it that, "After the Music" was already taken.
*bows gratefully if not gracefully*
Thanks, kids!
Dottie --- so was "The Other Side of the Mountain."
Ha!! You are too much. LOL
Could there possibly be a musical in the works with one of the above mentioned titles?

All of your suggestions have been taken into consideration and a new revival of The Sound of Music is being prepared in London.
The only question is who will play which instrument? I see the Mother Abbess playing a tuba and the Baroness playing a flute.
TSOM
What kind of flute are you suggesting.
No harmonica?!

Of course, the Baroness can play a harmonica. I just think that her flute accompaniment on "Something Good" would be especially poignant.
It's gonna be rad.
Maria will look like Joni Mitchell and she'll play the dulcimer.
I'm thinking Oprah would have had a field day with someone regarding their own poetic license with Maria's story (ala, James Frey).
Brilliant! I can see the whole show now...
All the costumes will be stark, black & white... except for the colorful Partridge Family bus that comes out at the end... and carries them with their instruments triumphantly over the mountains!
And everything happens inside Liesl's head.
Next year's Best Revival winner, to be sure.
b12b: you're too late. That's already been done.
The bus is filled with lemons.

"And everything happens inside Liesl's head."
I've seen the script, and one of the lines goes like this:
Liesl: It's always about Marta. Marta, Marta, Marta. I wish I was an only child.
Then Marta comes out in a blonde afro... just tryin' to fit in.
*writes this down for the new revisal*
I see a show driven by choreography. Hip hop, maybe?
yes, but in leiderhosen...i know, spelling.
Doodle, that goes without saying (the liederhosen, that is, not the spelling!).
