DIE THREAD DIE!!!!

no news. i'm being dangled.


but i've been very mean lately. i assigned a homework assignment on friday that would seriously take 15 minutes. of my 138 students, only 79 turned it in. i lectured them about it the next day and told them they could only get half credit if they decided to turn it in, otherwise it would be a 0. then i found out some students were saying they didn't have to do any work i assigned because "i'm just a sub and it doesn't matter." ooooooooooooooh did that get me mad. i was mean today when i discussed that and how i'll be the one writing up midterm reports.

i also figured out how much it would affect their averages. if they turn it in late and get half credit, their average drops 4 points. getting a 0 would bring them down about 8 points. so yeah, huge impact. so i told them that if i don't get the assignment BEFORE homeroom (stressed that about 6 times), then it's an automatic 0 and detention with me after school that day. no excuses.

who's just a sub that doesn't matter?

yeah, don't cross me. i may be just as big as my kids, but i can still be tough

yo, i totally screamed today. the teacher that i took over for came in to pick something up when there was 5 minutes left in the class. yeah they were excited, but he didn't want to interrupt, so he ran out and visited the other rooms on the team just to say hi. well my kids couldn't get on task. i had to stop them from talking. got them all back for about 30 seconds, then they were gone again. i SCREAMED "FOCUS! THIS IS NUTS... I'M ALMOST FINISHED AND I DON'T HAVE ANYONE LISTENING!" they totally stopped and were shocked by that. of course i only had about 2 more quick statements to say, but STILL.


oh, and i gave out only 4 detentions... 2 served today, 2 more tomorrow. woohoo! i think i scared them when i told them how much their averages were dropping by.

Ooh, I will join Beacon's POTO viewing and commentary! Except...I think we can only have the boys watch it w/ us for the viewing and our commentary to get annoying...any girls w/ taste would very much enjoy the viewings

today went pretty well.. as exhausted as i am. the past 2 days i've been running between jobs and trying to plan while nodding off. it sucked. finally ends tomorrow at 8:30 pm when i get out of work. then i have 1 day to enjoy my weekend. woohoo!
