Ooh, peach and banana crumble, covered in custard! Now THAT'S a pudding!
She also used to make it with fresh blackberries.
I'm going to see her on Thursday. I'm going to make her make one for Easter.
Tofu!! I'm so sorry. =[ There's nothing wrong with enjoying some downtime, and I'm sure you'll find something even better!
Ben and Jerry's to the rescue!
I'm sorry to hear about the job Tofu, but speaking as someone who has enjoyed almost 13 years of downtime, just relax and enjoy yourself for a while!!!
danmag, GET A JOB!
Wait. That would apply to me too.
Posting on BWW IS my job, much to my family's chagrin.
Oh yeah, and updating my facebook statuses.
I too have the same job too! As well as school and updating my twitter! Although, I have gotten good and I only update my facebook status once a day (or at least I try) and same for twitter.. but I felt good and updated several times.. woops!
Too bad posting here and on FB doesn't garner a paycheck.
If they did, I would be so rich.
hey, apparently the stuff I leave people makes their days, so thats worth it to me!
Ready for this, ladies?
I post here, on Facebook, on Twitter, on LiveJournal, on WhatsOnStage.com, and I read TVTropes.org and the Wikipedia and a lot of books besides.
While I'm at work. I think I win.
(Or rather, I would if my job weren't so awfully boring and soul-destroying that I *had* to do these things to stay sane... )
Yes, between here, FB, AI, and 3 other private sites, my day is full.
And before anyone says anything...yes I drank in the morning, don't judge me
It's 5oclock somewhere.
Well... I got my first SAT scores back. They're not terrible, but I'm still going to retake. Just glad to get them over with, though.
congrats Schmerg!
I remember when I got my first SAT score back and then saw my second score... lol I did about the same, although, the first time, when doing the writing part, I got a 9 because I tried to write what I thought they would want me to write... then, the next time, I got a perfect score and I wrote something about Regina Spektor being from Russia and how she was able to adapt to the American culture... it was bull crap lol
I shiver at the thought of SATs. Glad that's over with. And don't stress over them too much Schmergy!
I remember for the essay I'd always give three examples to support my topic: a real life experience, something from history, and a book. But I could never think of a book quickly enough, so I'd always make one up LOL! I took an SAT prep class once and they told me that no one's going to look it up and check to make sure it exists. But don't make up something from history...that's never a good idea LOL
Ha, I panicked and wrote my essay about how Richard Nixon could have been reelected without using dishonest means, because there were posters of all of the presidents on the walls of th testing room! I only got a ten, but that's better than I thought I would do.
I got a 2100 overall-- which would be okay if it wasn't so uneven. My math score was (expectedly) pretty bad!
Ha, the Regina Spektor essay idea is so cool. If I didn't write about Nixon, I'd probably go into a rant about how this overachiever star student kid at my school actually cheats on all of his tests and puts gum on all of the desks and chairs, and I think he does meth, but the teachers love him anyway and my parents want me to be more like him... and then I'd get a zero or a one, haha.

When I first read that I thought to myself: "Holy jeez I must have done horribly on my SATs by comparison!!" Then I remembered that I'm old and took mine ages ago when the highest score possible was still a 1600. Math isn't my strong point but I kicked the crap out of the verbal, so I didn't do too bad
Mornin' girls!!! I hope ya'll are having a wonderful day so far.
Hi Ladies!
Schmerg- My SATs weren't great, because I'm just not good at standardized testing. But as expected my english scores were off the charts and math were very much in the other direction! And then I retook them and my english score went up and my math score went down even more. Ha...figures.
Tofu- Dude...I'm sorry. That really sucks. I'm with the others though when saying just relax a bit. You'll find something, but enjoy at least a week of good down time. At least you didn't get laid off because you were bad at your job or did something wrong (like my last job...woops). Stupid economy. Stupid radio industry.
But I could never think of a book quickly enough, so I'd always make one up LOL!
Ha, that's brilliant! I think that'd just take me longer than writing about a real one, honestly...
I also had really high verbal and writing and lower math (I think my class was the first year to have writing, actually). I did a lot better on my SATs than my ACT though! They're usually pretty comparable, but of course mine were completely different.
Stockard, to answer the question you asked in that other thread...sadly, yes. I am in Ohio. I go to college here (near Cincinnati), but I'll be back in Detroit in a month for the whole summer. I'm not sure what I was thinking, picking a school in Ohio! I didn't think I could hate a state more than Michigan, but alas, it's possible.
ETA: HAPPY BIRTHDAY STOCKARD! I meant to put it in the post and hit submit too early! I hope your day is wonderful, and that the weather's nice up there...

Good job, Schmerg!
Grrrrr, exams. I just started taking a GRE prep course. I didn't take math at all in college because I tested out of the requirement, so I haven't seen math in almost five years. Eeeek.
I am the total opposite of all of you lol
I did pretty well in math but my other sections were just mediocre
LOL, tofu! I read that too, and was like "I only got an 1170? Oh yeah it was 1600 then"
