So I fainted today in singing lessons. It was so embarrassing. I was just standing there and my vision blacked out, but my teacher caught me. She made me sit and sing the rest of the lesson.
Hopefully in 12 hours I will be braces free. cross your fingers for me girls.
So, I haven't straightened my hair all summer because in this humidity it won't stay...but oh my god, I just tried this straightener my mom bought and she got a 2nd one free- and it's amazing. It's that in styler thing, the rotating iron. I...
did NOT burn my hair
did straighten my hair
feel lovely/pretty
miss my red hair now that i have straight hair again
just saying girls- the in styler actually works.
shh, I haven't straightened my hair for two years now. Long, wavy, and natural all the way, baby!
SAMN- That sounds scary! Were you sick or dehydrated?
Schmergy- Gosh, don't you hate that? Boobs can be so troublesome sometimes.
shh- how much is it?
Shannon, I think it's a mix of dehydration, poor diet, and stress. I'm not too worried about it.
Schmerg - I hear ya sister! My boobs are the reason I cannot find an affordable swimsuit that doesn't make me look like a porn star!
On a related note.... I think I might be Dolly Parton for halloween. Thoughts?
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
SAMN- Okay, just as long as you're alright! =]
Kels- That'd be amazing! She's so fabulous.
Schmerg- UGH to the dress! That is SOOOO frustrating. There's one thing that I DON'T enjoy about being a girl
Also- what kind of magical school do you go to??? I want to go somewhere where Broadway stars visit! Haha!
SAMN- Oh that's awful! I fainted once and it was no fun :/ I was alone and so freaked out!
LL- I'm sorry you had a bad day
I know the feeling.
Kels- Baha! Dolly Parton is awesome! Great costume idea! Nobody I know really celebrates Halloween anymore...sad.
Shh- what is this marvelous invention you speak of?! Did it straighten quickly? I straighten my hair usually 1-2 every two weeks. Also, you had red hair? I used to have red hair that I recently dyed brown, and I miss it too! Redheads rule!
faith, I used to teach at Schmerg's school, but I don't remember any Broadway stars coming there? Schmerg - who's coming to your school? I just remember Joe Paterno coming there. He's a football coach for some college in Pennsylvania - I can't remember if it's Pitt or Penn State.
Well all you girls with boobies get no sympathy from me. I wish I had boobies.
SAMN, you need to eat right and drink lots of water. I don't want to hear about you passing out again young lady!
SAMN, that sounds terrifying! My best friend faints a lot in public, too-- she's really anemic, and she literally doesn't like food. Not only is she picky (she'll eat pudding or whole bags of Craisins at a time, but not much else), she's on mediciations for ADHD that take away her appetite. Sometimes, when we're on a vacation, her mom will lock us both in a room with food trying to guilt-trip her into eating, because one time, we were hiking down a mountain in Germany when she passed out, and we kinda had to drag her down. 0_0
Faith, I just go to a normal public school near DC. But there's this awesome program called ArtSpeak that DC theatre organizations have put together that brings Broadway stars to Fairfax County schools-- they've been doing it for about ten or eleven years. Last year, they had Hugh Panaro, Alice Ripley and the rest of the cast of Next to Normal, Michael Cerveris. In the past, they've had people like Brian Stokes Mitchell, Kristin Chenoweth, and Lea Michele... we're really lucky, especially since my school has like no budget for theatre.
Stockard, didn't you mean BUBBIES?
I just ate a grilled cheese sandwich and fries for lunch. SOOOO not on my diet but worth every delicious calorie. I think I'll jog in place in my office for the rest of the day.
Haha, I ate some Starbucks oatmeal for lunch. I gotta tell you, that stuff is ridiculously good. I didn't know oatmeal could be that good. Especially with the brown sugar and the little bag of raisins/craisins/golden raisins mixed in.
We DO have ChikFilA up here! I LOVE it! The pickle is what makes it so good!
We don't have ChikFilA here, but as long as I'm near an In-N-Out burger, it's all good.
Oh my god, Chick-Fil-A is one of my favorite places ever. Along with Corner Bakery, but I'm not sure how many of those there are in the US.

Well I had a cheeseburger from Checkers with a Mr. Pibb. So effing tasty!!! I'll definitely need to double time it on the treadmill...although I've suddenly got a hankerin' for some mint chocolate chip ice cream from Baskin Robbin's so that whole treadmill thing might have to be put on hold for a while.
Yesterday I was in the drive thru at Starbuck's and this horses ass of a woman cut me off and got in line first even though I had the right of way. I can't be sure but I think she flipped me off. I could tell from her hand gestures and the way she was working her neck that she was being extra rude to the girls that were making her coffee. I even saw her throw an old fast food cup out of her window when she was reaching for her coffee. Since she was obviously being such a wench I had to wait in line for almost 10 minutes while she had her bitch fit. RIDICULOUS!!! When I finally made it up to the window the girls told me that she was the worst customer they'd had so far and offered my coffee for free because I had to wait forever and because I was actually nice to them and said thank you. I'm not complaing about getting free Starbuck's, cuz that sh*t's expensive, but when did it become such a burden for people to be nice to others? I mean seriously do people go around saying: "Gee I wonder who I can piss off today and still receive my food without spit in it?" Some people are sooooo freakin' rude!!!
BTW Chick-Fil-A is the SH*T!!!! Their nuggets are delectable morsels of love. MMMMMMM.
Is anyone else having some serious BB withdrawal symptoms? I miss her
.
Tofu- Yes on the BB withdrawls. And yeah I can't STAND when people behave that way. There is just no reason for it. And I'm usually the one on the receiving end of it, because I had so many random jobs before.
Schmerg- Thanks. I work in member services at a nonprofit. My bosses told me today that I need to have more confidence and not be so affected by other people. Well that's fun.
Ohhhh and it sucks about your dress situation Schmergy!
Schmerg I don't think they had that program when I was there! That's awesome!
And danmag, yes I meant bubbies! LOL!
Grilled cheese and fries sounds so yummy! And so does Chic-fil-a.
My husband just called and said to come up to pizza plant for dinner with his brother and family but
a) I always get white pizza there which is almost identical to the pizza I made last night.
b) I have no makeup on and don't feel like putting any on.
c) I already have the chicken marinating and a corn and tomato salad made.
and perhaps most importantly:
d) I don't want to eat with my brother in law's family.
I was wondering where BB was! =[ Is she on vacation?
Tofu- What a b**** that kinda stuff pisses me off. I hate that they thought they needed to give you free coffee for acting like a decent human being, which should be the norm for everyone, but hey what do I know.
Stock- Are you telling him you're not going? LOL
Yes, I told him to get his ass home and start the grill!
Tofu, that lady sounds HORRIBLE. I can't imagine having to deal with a person like her, especially as busy as Starbucks is. Weirdly, I also got my stuff free at Starbucks today, because the guy accidentally forgot to make me pay, and I didn't realize that you're supposed to pay BEFORE you get your food.
So once I got my oatmeal, I went up to pay, and the guy was like "What the heck are you doing?" I kept trying to tell him that I hadn't paid yet, and finally he was just like, "Okay, it's free." Believe it or not, my previous Starbucks purchase was free, too, because the employees couldn't figure out how to use the WiFi there, so they said I could get whatever I wanted for free.
