They also got these matching turquoise and purple comforters with polka dots and stripes and stuff and a crazy purple rug and psychadelic curtains and a bunch of other wacky stuff. And they got rid of my Little Mermaid, and Harry Potter posters, glow-in-the-dark stars, Maryland Zoo bumper stickers, stuffed lemurs and snakes that I had wound around my bed, the hand-drawn picture of Bianca from The Rescuers that is as big as I am, and the life-sized poster of Mr. Mistoffelees from CATS.
Those wacky girls.

Kels! remember to OWN those suits :)
Schmerg! I hope you love your room! I remember when I got back from a band trip to Canada in 10th grade my room went from blue to neon green. I LOVE it!
Ladies, this is probably my last post until LATE Sunday or Monday. I'm off to see VOTE! tomorrow :) I think I'm also catching 9 to 5 and Mary Stuart, but I'll chat with you guys later!
Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend! Don't get into TOO much trouble :)

But yeah, I had to compromise on a wall color with my sister-- that's the downside of sharing a room; I'd have picked something bizarre, like navy blue with accurate constellations painted on the ceiling and a replica of Van Gogh's Starry Night on each of the walls. Or purple zebra striped.

Kels- WORK IT!
Schmerg- Why would anyone want to get rid of a giant Mr. Mistoffelees poster? Just sayin. Sounds cute- hope you like it! Although I must say a Starry Night mural sounds legit.

I DON'T WANNA WORK!

BTW the product hair straightener I was talking about is called the IN STYLER, my mom bought it for 60 bucks and got a 2nd one free. it straightened my summer hair- which is nearly impossible to do.
Schmerg I hope you're doing okay with the Braces! I know it's usually a rough start :[
maisie - I didn't pack for college until like 3 days before,, good crunch time activity. I also leave in a little over two weeks and have to wash every thing before I leave.. so I might just give myself a week this time. [ps = chick fil a is sooo awesome. it was in my dorm food freshman year- the waffle fries are too good]
faith - i normally have dark brown almost black hair. . .but middle of freshman yr in college i dyed it firey red, i called myself a burnt brunette. totally miss it.
newgirl - everyone should have grilled cheese sandwiches, they're like my favorite thing ever.
SAMN - what's in n out burger? also, I was under the impression August: osage county closed? did I miss the memo?
tofu - no really, bitches be straight tripping.
stock - nicely done avoiding in the laws!
Kels- that is awesome!!! work it out girl! I have the same issue you do, if you don't mind my asking in fact. what cup size are you? I'm 38DDD, if I can find some at target , that'd be swell.
piano - have fun! let me know how vote is!!
So.
1. I got my braces off yesterday - and I feel self absorbed because I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror.. . like , it's ridiculous. i assume i'll stop today or tomorrow but my newly straight teeth fascinate me
2. I was kind of eavesdropping ( okay no kind of, totally was) on my sister's conversation with her fiance and she was actually saying less than bad things about me, so maybe our relationship is changing for the better
3. my junior year of college starts in like 3 weeks. I like, remember the day I got accepted... where has time gone?
4. LADIES I have decided- there is this boy who will again live in the same building as I will and he's like bffls with my new roommate, and I used to have a crush on him but then it petered off. but legit, I can't like him, because I realized that he may be charming as a friend because his ideas of love that he announces publicly made me realize that like he could not be the boyfriend that I know I want. just saying, nothing there.
5. I hit my 25 lbs lost mark yesterday!! I'm super excited to go for 30 and beyond!

I went on holiday for a week with my family. We went to Scotland; they have a timeshare thingy right next to Loch Lomond, so cracking scenery! On one of the days, Dad and I went for a fifteen mile walk along part of the West Highland Way (Drymen to Rowardennan). The hills were pretty deadly, but I am proud to report I am not as disgustingly unfit as I thought I was!
Then I came home, and now I'm house-sitting in London for the weekend. I rather suspect that this weekend is going to feel FAR more holiday-like than my actual holiday. I've got a couple of plays booked, I'm in walking distance of the West End, my friends have many awesome books, DVDs, and video games, and there's a beautiful (but mental) Tonkinese cat here - instructions: feed her, and make an unholy fuss of her for she does not like to feel lonely! - and about a MILLION pet snails! I won't lie to you, I'm a little nervous about changing their food today, but I'm sure it'll be fine. The size range in them is amazing! Some of them are bigger than my fist, while others are so small I can't tell if they're actually there or if I'm just overanalysing a speck of dirt. I also thought I might wander over to the Tate Britain today; I've never been, although I've always fancied it.
And those are my excuses for absence! Let's see if I can avoid being so absent in future. I miss my girlies. :3

And Weez, that sounds awesome! I've been to Ireland several times but never Scotland. Since I'm 1/4 Scottish, I'd love to visit there. My mom said the weather in Ireland lately has been horrible. How was the weather in Scotland?
