I'm pretty sure I'm gonna bag the whole Christmas card thing this year. I can always blame the bad economy and the high price of postage.

I'm in finals mode(2 Papers and 4 Final Exams - HO!), and worked too many hours this week, and I came down with a cold (the two are most probably correlated - the kids and teachers at the school are dropping like flies). eep. just stopped in to say hello! hope everything is swell
ps - danmag - you look so beautiful in your photo!

I am in full x-mas mode.... decorating the tree at my parents house tomorrow and gearing up for my 1st annual holiday party on the 12th! Woot!
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofuPosted: 12/5/09 at 3:30pm
It's so pretty out - it's the big fat snowflakes and it's REALLY coming down...I think the husband and I are going to polish off a bottle of wine and sit in front of the fire tonight.

Schmerg, I'm sorry to here about W&M, no worries though you've chosen some other really excellent schools so it'll all be fine
I must say that I am a bit jealous of the snow you guys are getting. Gosh it's been over 2 years since I moved to NC and I miss snow so much!!!! Not so much for the actually freezing my (non-existent) balls off thing but for the fact that every year, since I was 15, I treated myself to a new coat (a really cute one of course) but since it doesn't really snow here I don't have an excuse to buy one. The weather here is so unpredictable that one day I'll have to wear my black peacoat then the next I'm rocking just a t-shirt and jeans because the temp's jumped back up to 68 degrees.

I know right?! I didn't want to be the first to say it, but she's gorgeous.
Now Kels, when you say country, how country are we talkin'? Just the super hot accent and maybe an adorable BBQ stain on his jeans or rebel flags and moonshine in the cabin with an arsenal of artillery left to him by his Grand Wizard grandpa "gettin' ready for the race war"? Just gauging the situation
I honestly don't know how you guys can even handle the Christmas season. It all sounds so stressful I don't think I'd make it. Seeing and spending time with family that gets on your last nerve, cooking mountains of food, eating it then feeling guilty about it after New Year's, sending out cards to folks that you don't exactly cotton to all the time, drinking too much at the family function and letting it slip that you indeed did screw uncle Ronnie that ONE time. Perhaps that last one was just from my own personal experience with my family in Philly but still it all seems to be a bit much to deal with. Now here comes the part that some have described as the "weirdest" thing about me..................I don't nor have I ever in my life celebrated Christmas!!!! I know you can gasp, clutch your pearls and cover your mouths all you want but it's true. I've never celebrated any holidays EVER!!! I've gone to family functions where craziness has ensued, thus the drunken screwed uncle Ronnie thing. Long story short my uncle Ronnie got the crap kicked out of him after my uncle J's wife had too much wine and mistook the living room for a Catholic confessional booth and revealed in so many words that she and the guy who ain't her husband knocked boots. Stupid, but immensely entertaining for me since I'm kind of evil to begin with. Anyway, I've never had to do the things that y'all are doing now. Is it a blessing or a curse I don't know.
Oh and my friend commented to me today that an angry lesbian must have coined the phrases "Pussyfoot around" and "Beat around the bush" to put her gay-mo stamp on the world's most commonly used expressions. It made me laugh.
I'll talk to you girls later. Wait speaking of girls where are the boys? Piano & Jazz get your asses back here!!!!!
XOXO

Now about the boy.... There is no gun filled cabin that I know of, but he does have different political views then me. I think he's a good guy. He works on a farm, almost always wears a cowboy hat, and sings barbershop :-P
Oh the people you meet in Community College Choir!

I know, I'm amazed Prince sat that well. My dogs would never look that good in a photo.

I KNOW! This show just gets to me. We cry our heads off. I think it may be one of my all time favorites, too. Alice Ripley is brilliant.

GAH! I know, I know. Jazzy just doesn't have the free time that he used to have!
On saturday, it snowed (which is a rare occurrence in East Tennessee) and it was so magical. I had three christmas concerts with my orchestra that day and it REALLY got me in the holiday spirit... and by the third concert, we were in so much physical pain from playing so long but we STILL had lots of holiday spirit in us (an it hasn't worn off).
I love this time of year...
the chilly weather, the hot chocolate, the sales, the family. It doesn't get much better than that!!!!
Happy Holidays!
