Shh's grades on movies she's seen this past week

Sherlock Holmes = A
Princess and The Frog = B+

and at home
Someone Like You = C- [ and usually I'm into that kind of movie :/]

Sorry I've been MIA ladies - I'm still in the mode of break where I legitimately sleep all day and all night. Although I've taken some breaks between sleeping to go out and see people/movies. eee. less than 48 hours left to the decade - weird or what?!

Hope you had fun in Virginia, Stockard.

Count me in on the 'Can 2010 come now, please?' crowd. Celebrity deaths, my sports teams being terrible, my college raising tuition, just a few great films in the year, working the minimum wage on thankless employments, and my typical family drama. Well I guess it beats people running around parroting that the world was gonna end in 1999 (2012 is gonna be hilarious).

Welcome back Stock! We missed ya!

And count me in as someone who can't wait to put 2009 behind me. This was one f*cked up year as far as I'm concerned.

Quick update:
- The boy is being all hot and cold... I am letting him act that way because if he wants me in his life then he can put me there.
- I FINALLY got to see my best guy friend today. I haven't seen him since the beginning of the summer. Best hour I have spent in a long time. We spent a lot of time reminiscing about hight school like two old ladies :-P
- My brother has gotten me addicted to Kingdom Hearts II... the little bastard.
- I fell down (or up) the bus stairs when I was putting my fare in. I now have some very large attractive bruises on my shins. I didn't cry though.... even though it hurt like a mofo.

I am looking forward to the new year as well. 2009 has been jam-packed with a load of BS and crazy.

The world is not allowed to end in 2012. I'm planning on not watching Back to the Future 2 again until 2015, so I can laugh at all the future technology that's just plain WRONG while silently marvelling at anything the film-makers have got right.

I saw some good theatre in 2009, but it was pretty freakin' lame. If 2010 doesn't improve, I'm going to be in a sulk until 2019.

well, for me 2009 was ok. But I know 2010 is gonna be a bitch. So...bring it on, I guess.

I hate New Years Eve festivities. I'm afraid of all the drunks! My favorite thing to do is stay home in jammies and watch tv! I'm lame.

Yeah, I'll be glad to be done with '09, too... although I'm a little terrified about the idea that I'll be in college next year.

So, tonight's gonna be a weird night. I'm going to the movies with two closeted guys who are clearly attracted to each other, who met through me and invited me as a buffer so it won't look like they're on a date.

Well 2009 sucked, but I really don't see 2010 being much better.

As far as NYE, we are having another couple over for cheese fondue, steak, salad and wine. I'm going to try to stay awake for Daughtry on the D.Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, but I'm thinking I should probably set the DVR just in case.

Oh and I get to see Nine tomorrow. So excited. :)

"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

Who says you can't be drunks in your jammies during New Years Eve, clever and StarStruck?

Anybody else watching Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper for the countdown?

Schmerg, that does sound awkward. Do they not know other girls to buffer around? Avatar in 3-D might be worth it if you can live through dialogue from the director that gave us, "I came across time for you, Sarah."

Weez, just to make your list shorter, in 2015 there is no Michael Jackson but I am holding out hope for a hoverboard.

So, I just realized that a year ago yesterday my best friend (the one who I finally got to see today) told me he was gay. It's been a year and we don't talk about it, which is hard for me but I don't want to push him.... today I saw him for the first time in months and he gave me the biggest hug and that is all I really need from him.

It was weird for me to realize that I pretty much saw him on the anniversary of it and didn't say anything.... but maybe it's better that way.

Okie doke, time to do the catch up thing that I've grown so accustomed to 'round here.

Weez, I truly believe that if we met in real life we'd probably be the biggest nerds together. Any woman that can make a Back to the Future 2 reference gets a gold star from me. Now if only you loved Emma Thompson as much as I did in Much Ado About Nothing as Beatrice then it's a wrap and I devote myself to you wholeheartedly.......only for about 5 minutes though since I'm such a commit-a-phobe happiness :D.

Awww my little Schmerg. Welcome to the wonderful world of beards!!! Wait until you get to college and your closeted guy friend asks you to come home with him over Thanksgiving break so his mother will stop "worrying" about him. Good times are ahead for you lady.

Stock, I don't know why but it always makes me happy when people return from getaways safe and sound and in one piece. Maybe it's my dormant maternal side kickin' in or something, but I'm glad you're back home.

Clever & Star, I'm with Strummer on this one. How on earth can you go wrong with booze and jammies?! It's a win win situation. If you get too tipsy instead of slamming your head on the bar it softly bounces off of a throw pillow on the loveseat in your living room. Instead of getting rowdy and accidentally showing off a lil side boob, you can wear a onesie if you want to and sip Whiskey through a crazy straw and no one will say jack sh*t to you. If you have to go potty there's no long lines to disgusting facilities, there is however a lavender scented air freshener and heated toilet seats (I really hate chilly commodes and the shock of a cold seat makes me tense up a bit....DON'T JUDGE ME!!!) All in all, lounge pants and free flowing hooch sounds pretty appealing to me.

Weez, just to make your list shorter, in 2015 there is no Michael Jackson but I am holding out hope for a hoverboard.

You and me both Strummer. But I think I want Griff's Pitbull with the attachments for me and my gang of gays to terrorize Hill Valley. YEAH!!!!

I think I'm gonna have to hop on board the 'F' 2009 train. This year kinda sucked squirrel mammary glands for me!!!! (I don't know where that came from just go with it) Much like Kels my 2009 was chock full of insurmountable bullsh*t that I'm hoping will correct itself in 2010. For some reason 2009 felt like one big ol' rut to me. Like I got stuck in the same crappy ditch for 12 months. A ditch with that nasty ass sewage line that runs into it. Hopefully a new decade will help. Plus I find it weird that I'll be able to say that I've lived in 3 decades come Friday. Craziness.

While a majority of '09 was utter sh*t I am glad that I've come out somewhat and am more comfortable with certain things now. And of course I'm happy about having gotten to know all of you boys and girls on the EIBAG thread. You're all amazing and I've thoroughly enjoyed our special brand of lovely lunacy and camaraderie.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL!!!!

Dude, I am such a seasoned pro at being a beard, I could be living on Abraham Lincoln's chin. But I really did love Avatar. It wasn't even about the visuals... after awhile, I got so invested and caught up in Jake's journey and arc that I almost didn't pay attention to the visuals, I just felt like I was looking into this world. The story was thin, and the characters were flat, but Jake's sort of emotional path felt totally real and moving, and I got so into it that my friends and I fist-bumped when the bad guy died!

Haha! Well, even if things will never last, at least we can always have movie marathons together. happiness :D

Hmmm. I have a party to go to this evening, but I'd rather stay in with the family in my jammies. But I'm such a loner that I really really shouldn't pass up any chances at a social gathering, just in case I turn around one day and find I have no friends left. Maybe I should just wear my jammies to the party, that could be a nice compromise option?

I'll definitely be thinking of my IEBAGs as Big Ben chimes twelve and we're all standing on a bridge over the River Thames, watching the fireworks go off over the London Eye! Mainly I'll be thinking "haha, my IEBAGs are all in the past!". I know I could make pretences at faux-time travel all year round, but it's just more FUN somehow at new year, when I'm ahead of you guys and you're all stuck in last year. happiness :D

Hey All!

Happy New Year's Eve! I have no plans as of yet. Hmmm. I'll figure out something. I just got back from Indiana yesterday and I'm certainly glad to be home. The only thing to do there is eat. So all the work I've done to lose weight...right out the window. Well not all of it, but I have to work twice as hard now because I have 26 days. 26 days until my girl comes back to VA on leave and I get to see her for the first time since May and for the first time since we've been involved. Excited...totally freaked out...yeah...

Back to today. If I would have stayed in Indiana I had all sorts of offers for plans. My dad keeps taking me to the ultimate white trash bar to sing karaoke. This time I sang twice and I had two couples stay an extra hour to hear me sing the second song. That was pretty awesome. This bar is never quiet and they almost are always hoopin' and hollerin' and rarely pay attention to who's singing. On the second song the entire bar was quiet for me until I held my really long note, when they hooped and hollered. It was pretty cool. My dad was pretty excited to be the dad of the singer chick. Haha. So I was invited to sing tonight at a different bar, which was nice. Now that I'm home and don't have plans I sorta wish I'd have stayed there to sing and then head down to the big big party. Oh well...I'll find something.

2009 was actually a pretty spectacular year for me, despite some of the bad stuff. I think 2010 will be even better, so bring it on!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR LADIES AND GENTS. :)
