I'm trying to decide between spending New Year's here with my family or going to my aunt's house to spend it with her and my little cousins. Ohh dilemma.

Just what IS it about brown-eyed boys with beautiful smiles that transforms me back into the graceless, awkward 14 year old who would stare at boys across a room, hoping that this creepy and antisocial behaviour would make them realise they were madly in love with me? It's totally embarrassing, man. But he is VERY pretty, so am I allowed to throw dignity to the wind and Facebook-stalk him? I mean, he did say something about Facebook-stalking me, but that could've just been small-talk banter, like when you've met a new person and aren't invested enough to make real conversation? Oh, I don't know. I've been sitting by the 'book all day like a big freakin' nerd on the offchance I get stalked first. XD Or I could message our mutual friend and be all "hey, lovely to see you the other night, you looked great, nice to meet your other half, TELL ME ALL ABOUT THAT CUTE GUY YOU BROUGHT ALONG, loved your hair!" in super unsubtle stylee? AM SUCH A 14 YEAR OLD RIGHT NOW DAMNIT!
OR! I could go to bed so I'll actually be up in time to shower, pack lunch, de-ice the car, AND get to work in time. Sounds like a plan!
2010's already awesome. May I wish you all the happiest of new years! You ladies (biologically and otherwise) all deserve fabulous 2010s, and I truly wish for you to have them. :3

It sucks though, because if they could have just given me some hours for another month then I would have been fine because by then my student loans would have gone through.... but nope. Happy 2010 to me.
Oh! And I have some major family drama going on! Me and my mom refused to go over to my stepdads family's for new years because every year we go over there something awful happens and we end up screaming or crying or both... my stepdad thought we were being snobby and I guess he and my mom got in this big stink about it. He's being an idiot.... his family lives right next door to them- y'all who are married; imagine living right next door to your inlaws..... yeah it's awful. I only have a problem with two people in his family, but they bring out the worst in each other. But I guess now my mom has kinda had enough... I don;t want to say they are splitting up because everytime I say that they don't... but yeah it's messy and after 12 years of them having the same arguments I am kinda done with there s**t (though I have almost always been on my mom's side).
At least these things are kinda distracting me from the fact that that guy I though was such a sure thing isn;t speaking to me.
This yeah is off to a awful start. booo

It's been nothing but uneventful so far on my end.

Anyway I am back at school. College runs on trimester system so I got an incredibly long break between Thanksgiving and New Years but then of course next break is not even two weeks (My birthday week to be exact). Boo! I got class tomorrow. Praise the Olympic games because there is never anything going on in Feb at all.

The somewhat good news is that my mom seems to think I can get unemployment even though I was not technically fired or laid off.

Even though I am way too bored at home over break... I've been playing Zoo Tycoon (a game I haven't played since I was ten) and I made a zoo full of animals that I named after Harry Potter characters and another zoo full of animals named after Disney characters.

So yesterday I took a night off from being 19-going-on-45 and it was soo much fun to remember I have friends! Haha. My friend Amber had me hang out with her new friends, some of which I've met before. Tom's an angel and actually conived a plan to hang out at their friend Kurt's house because he wanted us to meet so badly. I didn't get why until we got there & learned that we are pretty much the same person! Unfortunately, all of this reminded me of the fact that I'm unreasonably afraid of everything having to do with this area of business. But things are definitly looking interesting, So, we'll have to see how all of this plays out.

I mentioned how bipolar my family is, we had a bit of an episode about seven different times in first two hours in my dorm about everything. The hot topic of late has been that I am an atheist. My mom insists my atheism is just a phase, again like my Dad she thinks it is too much reading of Nietzsche. Can I just say both of my parents are the biggest cafeteria catholics and liberals in the world. Yet they are completely intolerant of first-born daring to not utter grace at the dinner table. Believe me, I would have been more drastic in my 'rebellion' than just not being able to suspend reality on virgin birth, turning water into wine, and rising from the dead. Not saying I am anti-theistic against the religious beliefs expressed here on IEBAGs but it is really crummy how this issue is treated by my own parents and my little sister.

I understand the woe of having pay way too much money for dental care, though. Braces are so annoying... hopefully, I'll be getting them off this summer.
