Schmerg, I really hope you get Fruma-Sarah! I've been in that show three times because I love it so much (chorus, Tzeitel AND Hodel). It's such a downer, but unbelievably fun to be in.
As for your friends...looks like you've got game! But I can't blame you for not wanting to get involved.
You're so lucky, Kels! And Schmerg, I wish I could audition to be in Fiddler! I want to be Chava so badly!
I miss having auditions. Desperately.
I hate auditions themselves. Scares the crap out of me. I can do performances, but leave it to me to screw up an audition.
Me too, SAMN. Nerves get the best of me every audition, but once I actually have a part the stage fright is totally gone.
So I'm watching Made right now, and the coach is that hot mess Devorah from NYC Prep and Real Housewives. WHY IS SHE EVERYWHERE? Is it so we can make fun of her easily?
Totally agreed... I never have stage fright when I'm actually onstage. It's only when I'm in the audition room that I get nervous and my voice shakes. When I do the kind of audition where everyone else auditioning gets to watch, I'm totally fine with it-- because it's just me goofing off for my friends. But when it's just for the director, it's scary!
OH TELL ME ABOUT IT! I can sing and act and muck about NO problem in front of, say, a large crowd of people (like an audience XD), or when I'm alone in the house, or even in front of a group of friends. But stick me in an audition scenario, and my legs shake like a really shakey thing, my mouth COMPLETELY dries up, and all the great character ideas and natural moves I have turn into freakish stunted jerky arm movements. If I'm ever damn fool enough to direct again, I might run a week of informal workshops instead of any formal auditions, just because I know from my acting experience that I'll be getting a MUCH better idea of what my potential cast is capable of.
Going briefly off-topic, I know this is a discussion we've had a million times before, but I've just been reminded of it, and so I ask: is it just me, or is Ryan O'Reily the sexiest damn (fictional) man on the face of the planet?
HE IS, WEEZ!!!
I had to scream that because I had such a mad crush on him during the Oz era. And I loved drooling over him when he was Tina Fey's boyfriend in 30 Rock. Such a cutie.
We're talking about Dennis Duffy, right?
"Aw.... you said Chinese instead of something offensive!"
Of the Liz Lemon Boyfriend Universe, always Dr. Drew. He modeled the character of Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid, remember. Gotta say Astronaut Mike Dexter was a bit underwhelming by comparison.

Weez, sexy men are always on topic. And YES. Right up there with Chris Keller. Mmmm, fictional psychopaths.
I'm with you guys on auditions. My last audition was ridiculous. I sang "When You're Good to Mama" which is like my go-to song. Sing in pubic all the time. But I get to the audition, he gave me the note like three times and I was like "What was that again?" I could NOT find the note. He gave it to me and I couldn't find it. WHAT?!!? Damn nerves.

So I totally missed that Haiti telethon when it was on tv, so I just saw this video yesterday and I love it! I think this is a great version of Hallelujah and I am having a bit of a late in life crush on Justin Timberlake, in spite of his cheesy boy-bander past.

I am having a case of the sore throat. This is killing me-- okay not that extreme but I talk a lot in my classes and this is the last thing I need. Any tips?
Oh I am seeing Spring Awakening this weekend at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady.
Tons of gargling with warm salt water...always does the trick.
dan, I don't find Justin attractive per se, but I do think he's hilarious and extremely talented.
Look what I drew! His name is Chrysanthemum the Special Lion.
Hahaha, my friend Johnny and I invented him when we learned that Simba and Nala from the Lion King were actually half-siblings... we said that's what their kid should look like, then we spent all lunch making up a story about Chrysanthemum's life. He died when he fell off the puberty-inducing log that Simba walks across in "Hakuna Matata."
AH! *Bump*
Well, we need some action in here! Today has certainly been quite a day. Today, I found out my new friend in Italian (she is straight now) had a curious phase in high school and dated the same psycho bitch who my friend dated last summer. She said that dating that girl def made her realize she likes men LOL
SO there was there, then I came home, and my cat has been in the phase of dying for hte past week. He is only 8 and we don't know why, but he died today around 3:20
I heard his last meow/cry and that was painful, but we buried him.
Then, tonight I won a shirt via facebook from Come Fly Away
Hope yall are doing well!
OMG Piano! Im so sorry. My dog is very close to going. He is 14 and I think he only has weeks. It's so sad losing a pet. I never want to go through this again. Your cat was so young. Was he suffering?
Oh Piano! I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty! You are in my thoughts sweetheart!
