why not?
Quick opinion question please!
If you had a question to ask a performer, and you had successfully located that performer on Facebook, would you message them through Facebook and hope they reply, or would you feel excessively creepy about it and just forever wonder?
Hmmm, what is your question? It would probably depend on that.
I think I'd facebook message them, but feel horrible and awkward about it, and then feel relieved six months later when I still haven't heard anything back. But that's just me! (I totally sent a fan letter to Norm Lewis back in February...I'm almost relieved that I haven't gotten a response.) I say go for it and message the person, unless the question is something weird.
Maisie, that is such a pretty picture!
I'm about to go to one of my best dude friends' Eagle court of honor ceremony things. Our other best dude friend had his in December, and he was mad because his letter was from Bush and this guy's is going to be from Obama!
Maisie were you talking to me? If you were, my laptop has completely crashed and will need to be taken to the Geek Squad, and for some reason my husband's computer wouldn't connect to the internet yesterday.
yep. I was :)
I love the geek squad. :) esp. their little punch bugs!!!
And which picture Schmergie?
I meant your avatar. ^_^
Thanks girlie! I'm about to change it though!

Piano, I really can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am about that whole ugly ordeal. I just can't wrap my head around certain things, especially the fact that some of us black people find homosexuality so disturbing. We of all people really shouldn't judge anyone based on one aspect of their lives. I mean good god, just 50 years ago I wouldn't have been able to sit at a lunch counter for crying out loud. I, more than anyone, know how religion can play such a vital role in one's life and ultimately dictate your own personal feelings on issues such as homosexuality. For a long time I acted like I was opposed to gays, but in reality I was really accepting. By the time I turned 18 I knew there was something different about me but didn't want to fully admit it so I immersed myself in my religion and got really gung-ho about it. Now look at me, totally 100% gay and I'm fine about it.
Just think in 2 years you're gonna go to NYC Pride and see Korey prancing around in a Man-Thong with a dog collar around his neck with his boyfriend Ricardo in assless chaps!!! Korey's probably gay himself and hiding behind his religion since you say he's become a Jesus Freak since the last time you saw him.
"Cheer up, chin up, it's time to bring a happy attitude..."
I'm sorry but I was listening to the OBCR in the car and I couldn't help myself!!!! *sigh*
There's something kinda sad about the "hiding oneself in religion to combat the gay!" thing. You hear so many stories of people realising they're gay but choosing to live like a heterosexual and praying that God will take the gay away (or perhaps I've just read Angels in America a few too many times). Guys, Jesus was the original and ultimate hippy liberal. In the Gospel according to Luke, one of the last things Jesus did - while he was up on that cross and suffering the slowest, most agonising death any of us can probably conceive of - was to forgive a repentant murderer and promise that man a place in heaven. That part of the tale may not make it into the other three gospels, but that's the Jesus I love and that's the Jesus I follow. He knows we all have our quirks and foibles, whether we don't recycle, love the same sex, or kill a bunch of folks. He loves us anyway. He knows and accepts us for who we are. And I can't bear to think how sad He must be seeing so much hatred and bigotry happening in His name. ;_;
Thanks guys!
And Tofu, yeah, I am almost certain that he is gay... he has to be and I think that is the reason he is turning to religion to try to rid himself of this because his family probably wouldn't be accepting, at least not his dad.
I don't know, it really frustrates me. And then, so there is the whole Korey situation, that that biatch Sienna, and this morning, oh man. So awful. I told Taryn that I didn't want to be her friend right? well she never responded to that. Last night I had a dream I went over her house, she was a bitch, and I called her out on it. This morning, she texted me... She was like "I know you don't want to be friends which is sad
but is there anyway I can get my movie back?" I forgot I even had her movie, but BITCH! and this initiated an hour of texting. Oh man, my life, yeah. Well it's all good now :) I went to a party for my friends birthday which was fun, and I just got back and my dad called me downstairs and gave me 20 bucks... for no reason :)
Then he is giving me 150 for NYC, so I am just so happy! In about 45 minutes we are going out to dinner for my moms birthday :)
But I just want to say thanks guys! It's hard to turn to people about this because everyone knows Korey and everyone loved him in High School and now he is TOTALLY different and I don't want to ruin THEIR relationship with him just because he is like that to me. Thanks :)
And I am here for yall too! Can't wait for 2010 :)
What is everyone up to tonight?
Good Morning/Almost Afternoon!
Hope everyone has a good day!
Today, I have two graduation parties to go to, so, that's pretty much all I have planned.
Have fun!
Weez, that was very profound and touching.
Good morning all.........it is a beautiful, peaceful Sunday morning here in Texas.
Good morning, ladies! I'm probably just going to have a lazy Sunday today, then babysitting later.
Good afternoon everyone! It rained 5 inches here yesterday, but I think the sun is TRYING to come out. I gotta get my tan on!!!
Just came back from my church's picnic! I was in charge of face painting. I did about a million butterflies, flowers, ghosts, some princesses and unicorns, and I turned a ton of kids into pirates, football players, kittens, and dalmations, and I turned my brother into Spock. Oh, and one guy wanted me to draw a volcano covering his entire face. It was interesting.
The best part was when the guy in charge of the moon bounce kicked all of the little kids off and let the teenagers have a turn.
Good afternoon, ladies! I saw The Hangover last night. It was soooo funny! Anyone else see it?
..and I have a new crush.
whowhowhowho????
Yes, do tell!
Spill it, woman!
Watched Seven Pounds last night - very good!
LOL! After I wrote "I have a new crush" I posted a picture of Bradley Cooper but I can't see it. I meant after seeing The Hangover he's my new movie crush. I'm trying again:
