I'd never stagedoored anything before when I saw Little Mermaid, so I was really, really nervous. There was a humongous guy standing in front of me, so I couldn't see, and I said, "Um... when Norm Lewis comes out, do you think you could let me come up to the front, because I'm a really big fan of his..." And the dude just smiled and said, "Sure, I know Norm!" And the second Norm came out (he was the first person to), the guy in front of me just said, "Hey Norm, there's a little girl here who wants your autograph!" and he came up to me first!

I mean, I was sixteen at the time, so not exactly a 'little girl,' but it was still really exciting. I even told him he was my favorite Javert in Les Mis, which... isn't actually true, as you can see from my avatar...

Pretzel! He made a thread called <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 HEY<3 <3 <3 <3 and a bunch of other equally goofy ones. The responses he got on the main board were hilarious...

I'm sorry, shhh! What are you sick with? If it makes you feel any better, I've been laid up with the sunburn from hell (which also happens to be my very first, as I normally just get really tan). I can barely move without yelping. Sure, I can go to the Caribbean and forget sunscreen and nothing happens, and I'm fine in Florida, but Michigan sun fries me. WTF? The good news though is that it's not really dry, so no peeling. In a couple days, I'm going to be tan as sh*t. Must look on the bright side of life!

JAG - my first sunburn ever was like. all over my body because I had literally never been affected before and was lying out in shorts and a spaghetti top. ouch. may the aloe vera be with you.

I am not sure what's happening - my stomach's hurt all day and I've felt nauseous all day. I think it's my diet thing lately - I kind of realized I've skipped on Fruits and Veggies for like... all of july and part of June , without realizing.. and my stomach is casting revenge on me. but my mom thinks I'm so worried about Sasha that I'm making myself sick.

one of those two though, I believe.

JAG, I see you're feeling my pain. I don't tan. I'm as pale as they come thanks to the irish curse. I went for a walk outside once while wearing a tank top with no sunscreen, and my shoulders, chest, and back were sunburned for days. And no tan. This is why I am in love Neutrogena's SPF 70, 90, and 100 sunscreen. An albino's dream!

But I too at the moment am in pain. I was swinging (yes, I'm a junior in high school and I still swing. shut up.) and when I got off, I felt major pain in the back of my right knee. I can't extend or bend my right leg without being in pain. I think I pulled something because it hurts like a bitch.

"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

shh, a combination of both? I hope your tummy feels better soon!

SAMN, I swing all the time still. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it! But I hope your leg feels better, too! And I have a serious respect for you paler girls now. Having to go through this more than once would make me crazy! Here's hoping my Mediterranean genes start overriding my Swedish ones again soon, because this ain't gonna fly.

I love swinging! I miss my childhood.
Oh and for your sunburn, take ibuprofan, then damp a washcloth with vinigar and apply to sunburn. I find that those work the best for easing the pain.

Hi Girlies!
I officially get internet back at my house on Tuesday, so I won't be as MIA as usual!

Okay, there is this guy who I have "liked" since senior year and we have been super flirty off and on for two years now, but he has never asked me out! He's been texting me again the last few days and I cannot figure him out! Should I just come right out and ask him what the hell this is about?

Kels, why don't you suggest that you two get coffee together (or whatever your poison is)? In person you can get a bit more of a vibe if he's just recently started texting you again.

I'm the same way with sun. I'm an Irish kid...five minutes in the sun and I'm burnt to a crisp. My body doesn't even take heat well...just not so good. I don't burn as bad as I used to when I was little, but I also don't put myself out in the sun all that often anymore. Haha

Welcome back Kels! I'm with JAG- see what he's like in person. See if it's any different.

Along the same lines...do you remember the girl from the show that I had a crush on? Well she moved away after opening night (the army sent her out to WA and then she's off to Iraq at the end of this month). The crush, though, didn't really go away. We've emailed here and there, but nothing big. Well the other day she commented on my profile pic on facebook because it's of she and I. She was like oh look how cute we are and then she started telling me how hot I am and just really laying it on thick. She was definitely doing it to get a reaction out of me, because she knows that she can easily fluster me. If y'all are my facebook friend...you should read the comments...they're pretty funny cause half way through I'm like I got nothing...you've turned my brain to mush. Around that time she popped up and we started chatting. She was in NY on leave visiting her family and was bored out of her mind. That night it seemed we didn't really have anything to talk about which bummed me out. But then she popped up and chatted the next day and was really making an effort to get to know me. We chatted for three days straight about 8 hours nonstop. Wow! Definitely flirted a bit although I'm sooo bad at it with her. She's like wow...you suck at this! LOL I'll teach you. And then we called her when we were at karaoke on Thursday and sang for her and she got to chat with people from the show. She's pretty miserable right now, so that meant a lot to her. But she headed back to WA yesterday and doesn't have internet there, so I figured I won't really be hearing from her now. But as soon as she got off the plane she started texting me. :) I'm happy right now!

Aww, feel better, lovlies! I hear you about the sun danger. I have really sensitive skin, and my hub is Irish, so we have SPF 55 with us at all times and sometimes still burn. Yarg. If you can find it, you might want to try Neutrogena After-Sun Treatment. It's made from soy (not aloe vera), and it's hands down the BEST sun-related product I've ever encountered.

There must be injury vibes going around. My "daughter" from my college sorority is staying with me for a conference, and last night she was the sickest I've ever seen a person. She got a stress-migraine and ended up tossing her cookies in a nasty public restroom for a half an hour. She's better now, but it was so scary. I've never had to take care of someone like that before.

My dauger gets migraines. She used to throw up when she got them but not so much anymore.

JAG, I hope you feel better. Put some aloe on your skin.

WU, I like the coffee idea. Feel the situation.

Hey ladies! How is everyone doing?

So I have braces now..it's so weird! My teeth feel like they're falling out 24/7 lol. I get them off in about a year and a half which isn't too bad. I'm excited to see the results, for sure.

Yes, but I'm sure you and everyone else who has/had braces now has beautiful teeth!

I used to want braces when I was younger. I thought it was so cool that you could change the colors. Yeah, I had issues.

So all this sick talk must have transmitted over teh_interwebz, because I feel terrible tonight! It's a cold, I think, but I can already tell it's going to be a really miserable one. The sunburn is gone, though, so that's a plus.

Whatever happened to my leg is now magically healed because it's fine today.
You know what really makes me sick to my stomach? Trying to get myself ready for college. Argh.

JAG - I'm so sorry you don't feel well!! :/ I hope you feel better ASAP

Oh. My. God. So, long story short, I was with this guy but I ended it when I found out he never broke up with his girlfriend in the first place. And I just found out...she is pregnant. And he's the father. And she's keeping it. He's 17 and she's 18. She just graduated from high school. She's due in March, before he even finishes high school. Now please, let me just take this moment to say...WHO CALLED IT? WHO WAS RIGHT? HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW, YOU SON OF A B*ITCH!...Oooh I so told you so.
