Hey guys!
Sheridan called me last night and my audition is on Feb 3rd! but theres one problem...i am behind in theory and they need me to take a music theory exam,or show a level 2 certificate. do you guy know a website with a example of what is "level 2" music theory?. becuase i joined vocal(Musical theatre) in grade 11-12 so i was behind from grade 9-10 theory that i should of already known. and i dont want that to hold me back. Thank you all in advance for the help. you allways come through.
Jeff

Hey!
I'm auditioning on the very same day! I am in the same boat as you: screwed over by theory. I know the basics, but I'm behind in intervals and writing every single scale and transposing and stuff like this. Plus, my voice teacher teaches at Sheridan and he took me through the ear test, which is like recognizing intervals by ear and different kinds of chords. I need to practise.
Plus, the audition is right after my exams happen and all my huge ISUs are do. It is going to be stressful, but I am going to be glad to get it behind me and move on to my other auditions.
What are you singing, just to make sure we aren't doing anything the same. Also, at least by the sound of it you are really solid in the dance componant. I have taken dance, but it still makes me a bit nervous.

screw sheridan... come to York!
I auditioned for Sheridan a few years ago. I remember the Music theory being not too complicated, but it was a little challenging if you do not have a lot of background. It was a lot of filling in scales and chords and progressions. It went so fast I don't remember a lot about it.
The most I remember about the whole audition was the terrible dance part (for me, an untrained dancer, the hardest part of the whole process). If you have any questions about the whole audition process, feel free to PM me. Even though I didn't get in, I may still be able to give some tips or just give you an idea of what it is like.
Break a leg both of you at your auditions!
