YOu look exactly like my sister's best friend, but she's not into theater, so I was uber-confused.

Either way, I didn't get Charlie in Annie Get Your Gun because my director decided that I couldn't memorize lines. He promised me the role, and took it away.

I lost the part of Larken in Once Upon a Mattress because the girl who got it, the director thought she was a senior... and I'm a junior. So she gave her seniority because that's what it's all about right?

I had such a great audition too...

I missed out on a role in Carousel when I was in High School because I hadn't auditioned for anything before and there was another girl they told me they "owed it to" for having done the shows every year.

I got screwed out of playing Coalhouse Walker because I was white. They got some random named Brian Stokes Mitchell instead. Stupid director.

I was too fat to be Lucy Liu's hand-double last month. And the Director of Photography had to determine this after setting me up in the shot and announced it in front of the entire cast and crew. I've developed what we call the "LuLu Complex" where I slather on copious amounts of Elizabeth Arden 8-hour cream and try to give my fingers a bit of exercise. I wish I was kidding.

I lost my part in Grease at a small dinner theatre because some older girl was mad I got the part so she pointed out that I wasn't allowed to perform as long as there was alcohol..


I'm sorry about your loss though. As Corine said, chin up! Superficially stupid anyway.

I was told I was too chunky to play Betty Rizzo in a high school production of Grease as a teen. Then Rosie was cast. The next year I got the part in the community theatre production.

B- she said I was "physically inappropriate."

Even though the mayor is about a foot shorter than his daughter and his wife, and Marcellus is rail thin. In the script it says he is "roundish." But it never says anything about Zaneeta being tiny.
